So you didn't get that nice soup I sent you? Gave it to the cat, I suppose. Damn shame that. There goes 150 grammes of perfectly good ground glass I won't see again.

Hmmmm. that would account for what I thought was a mild dose of gastro. The soup tasted like crap BTW, you really need to learn how to season.

The ground glass...................did a good job of scrubbing the walls. That just postponed the colonoscopy for another 5 years. Cool

had a Dr's check today. Had some test available to men between 45 and 49 which consists of a Nurse asking a bunch of questions then giving the doc the results.

BP still on the high side even with the meds but not going to kill me this week
Cholesterol and triglycerides all good, no liver issues with the last blood test so I don't need to cut back drinking.
Blood sugar been creeping up the last 18 months, just above normal but below bad so can tuck that one away for a bit later.
Doc reckons I should drop 10kg, but he's using that BMI thing as a guide so I'll give him 5
Did the quick visual skin check for cancer, no probs. For a blonde who is very very slack with using sunscreen, I don't burn easy and have never had a skin cancer, whereas my dad could get them on a sunny day while sitting inside a bomb shelter wearing a lead suit. happy that's clear.

Overall, got to be happy with the results. Sorry kids and people at work (and here), you're stuck with me for a bit longer.

Wink

10kg huh? Better get the dust of the shed!

No no no no no

I mean yes

I've shrunk and got fat. I'm 190cm and 102kg. Doc reckons 90kg, I reckon he should stop self prescribing. 95kg is achievable without needing to turn my whole life into a weight loss mission..

So your too short for your weight?

Hubby wanted a big 21st for daughter.
Tonight's the night, I've found/booked the venue, designed and sent out invitations, ordered and checked the decorations are arriving, spent countless hours and glasses of red making a 15min dvd that will loop on the telly in the background, and taken it to the venue to make sure it works, booked and prepped the du, ordered food, a cake, (which looks spectacular, thankyou cheesecake shop) got some extra desserts from Costco, and stuck chocolate on the puff balls, spent a few more hours making a 21st photo book compilation, which when you flip it over, is a guest book for some (hopefully) nice comments from the guests. This was a feat in itself, it was late, luckily I chose to drive to the city and pick it up yesterday, found it to be wrong, so they made me two more and delivered them personally to my house today! Have written and typed up speeches for us both, and made him buy new wider clothes!

And I'm sure everyone will tell him "good job"!

That's ok, I know I'm the hero! Whew! 21 years. Where did they go! Cheers everyone, hope you have a great Saturday night. I'm going to. I've got a hot new dress, some sexy heels, and the most gorgeous fantastic beautiful strong willed, drug free, opinionated 21 year old to show off!

Love Jojo! Xxx

The dark dread of winter in the UK has eased, with a string of bright sunny days. Even the usual sour, dour faces down the street are looking more sufferable!

Amen to that. I've lived here for about 25 years, and every year there comes, in March, a day that would probably pass as an average winter's day in Melbourne, but here is like a liberation - it's 14 degrees, and the daffodils in the churchyard opposite are gliding among the stones, luminous with the arrival of spring. Few simple things make me as happy as that.

Yeah still got my eye on Jezza for junior!

Though her current boyfriend ain't bad,he's trying out for Collingwood and a couple of other teams as part of some basketballer football thing, but he's also got a chance of a basketball scholarship in the states.

Not sure that tops a lawyer!

Well it was a great night, danced til I and Ma marmo dropped! Actually we were both still going! Was awesome! Bit tired now though!

Cheers everybody, thanks for the good wishes,

Oh and yes ms Morrigu I stayed on my heels! Swapped to go walks about 11'
