Yeah can’t get close enough with clear zoom to see! I think it’s a plant, though it could be a worm! I was a good 10 metres from it!

Booked our 25th anniversary tickets yesterday, off to Charlotte for outlaw sprints, xfinity 300nascars, and the cocoa cola 600. That’s the first three days! Then maybe 3-4 days at Yellowstone as never been there, then Vegas for mecum motorbikes auction, road trip through Zion National Park, Bryce Canon, monument valley, and on to Denver for Mecum car auction. Should be awesome!
our travelling buddies are moving & we have a full plate, so shelved the big Europe trip for next year.
Man I love planning holidays! Cheers, happy happy!

I have a working shower. Very Happy

I took on more than I could chew with this bathroom renovation. The only ventilation in there is the vented skylight so in this warm weather I'm dripping sweat after 10 minutes.

Monday was stripping back the old room, Tuesday and Wednesday was basically trying to get the floor level enough to tile.

Today I decided to do the acrylic wall panels for the shower. First one no dramas. Second one was a couple of mm out near the bottom so I spent an hour sweating with a rasp and discovering that handling large acrylic sheets in thongs isn't a great idea, the edges slice through skin quite easily. Left toe copped a notch near the knuckle that, even after bandaging and putting boots on, just meant I had a blood soaked sock when I eventually peeled it off. I bleed like a stuck pig when I bark myself and, when you're covered in sweat as well, it goes everywhere. At one point I looked like an accident victim with both feet and one hand covered in blood

Measuring up the panel to cut the holes for the shower and taps to poke through was a tad stressful. Don't measure perfectly and I **** up a $400 panel.

Got all the panels in place, glued on and sealed with silicon on all the joints, then since I can't buy a door to fit, gonna need a custom made one, fitted a screen, new shower head and tap handles so I could have a fkn shower.

Geez I enjoyed it.

Still got some finishing touched on the shower, gotta tile the floor, paint the bath, do the walls and re-install the vanity unit but I'm having a rest day tomorrow, apart from doing some cleaning up. Got shit everywhere.

Gonna do a brisket and bean chili in the slow cooker tomorrow which will be protein for the next few days.
