The dog is like a spoiled kid sometimes. He's locked under the house at the moment. More room to move than tied up. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Really pushed myself in spin class last three days especially the last two.
I've "sweated" so much in the last few days. My thighs are burning but all in a good way.
I was slack last week & didn't ride to work - mostly coz the weather was crap.
Back to work & riding to tomorrow after two "nice" days off. _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

Yep, she didn't want to upset old faithful!
Yep she's definitely my kid!!
But that's not what's making me happy!
The eldests 21st pressie sold today(Holden Cruze no turbo, oh god so bad) I bought her a Passat a few months ago, she loves it, but man we just could not sell the Cruze! It just drove off. Down the road, and I just drank wayyyyy to much ice cold American honey! Yeah baby, it's gonnnnneeee
Bottoms up!
(Does anyone want to buy a very much loved Ford Focus 2006 with 150,000 on the clock, a shit load of hail damage, Maccas stains from all juniors feral friends, a history that includes breaking down on me in IKEA one fine day, a very expensive new fuel pump, an uncanny ability for picking up parking and speeding fines, Collingwood membership stickers, and a boat load of the most incredible, amazing, sweet, black and white blooded 21 year olds tears!)
Cheers, maybe I should switch on that alcohol lock Stui! |
Lucky girl Junior. Well done _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

Beautiful weather. Up at 6.30, walk along the beach and a swim in the surf, back to the room for a shower then down to the breakfast buffet.
Nearly 8.30. Finished reading my book yesterday, might have to go for a drive to mossman gorge or the Daintree river. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

/\ ugh, that's cruel!
It's cold, wet, at least it's not windy!
Home alone, house clean, yards clean, paperwork done, no excuses, taxes time, ugh. Where is the alcohol! At least the heater is warm and the dog loves me _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |

Good drive.called inat the Mossman market, then up to Daintree Village, spinback to the ferry then over the Daintree and up to Cape Tribulation.
Geez that's a beautiful drive, like going through a winding green tunnel. With the sun shine piercing the canopy in little spots, so many different shades of green.
Ah well. Think it's time to walk down to the pub for some afternoon libations _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Well, i came to Port Douglas to relax and recharge, mission accomplished.
Apart from the big drive day yesterday I've just chilled.
Today went like this.
Sleep intil 7am
Walk along the beach and ocean swim
Shower followed by buffet breakfast
Strolled down to the sunday market, bought a coconut which they put a hole in so i could drink the juice with a straw, when you're finished drinking you take it back, they crack it in half, shred the coconut flesh and top it with your choice of salad or banana and honey. Had one of each.
Stroll around town then back to the room and read for a while on the balcony overlooking the ocean
Downstairs for lunch, some salt and pepper squid with salad, then off for another stroll.
Back to home base, swim in the pool, read a bit more, couple of beers on the balcony then wander down to the pub.
Few beers down there, then back to base for a Margarita on the pool deck.
Sitting on the balcony now with a beer and a glass of red listening to the local news on tv.
After the news I'll have a shower and walk back into town for dinner, then stop by the courty for a few beers and some live music.
I'm not sure if I could do this every day but I wouldn't mind trying _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

It does sound perfect Stui, enjoy. Stay til next week if you can, apparently it's not getting remotely warm until November!
First time in I don't know how long that I slept like a baby! Feels so good today. And the house is clean inside and out, taxes are done, the dud car is gone, all ihave to do is a few scraps of paperwork and the ironing, which I haven't done for a month or so! Should only take an hour! Then I can finally get into that list of things to do when I don't have things I have to do. Last week I got online and joined both kids up with Aussie super, did the search and got their super all switched over. Time to make sure they both know how to handle their own finances. (Why don't they teach this stuff in school?) the eldest starts her first full time job on the 7th of November, junior has an interview tomorrow for a swim teacher position (she qualified as part of her uni course this semester and already had first aide) and she has a job at her old high school starting this week supervising exams, and then after exams, helping out with PE classes.
I took over hubby's car clubs website, should have had a look at it first, it's sooo bad I'm going to have to start from scratch, so might make a start on that today. Not sure how I ended up with the job! Dumb dumb dumb!

Blokes arrived this morning to start putting up my shed. Finally some action. Getting the slab laid was like giving birth to an echidna coming out arse first.
Boys did a good days work, 7:30 start and finished at 5:30. Frame and wall sheets all up, just gotta do the carport part, roof, doors, windows and floor seals.
Looking damn good. I should be able to get outside Monday and Tuesday and get my backyard cleared
Also, took the old girl to vicroads today to transfer her car rego from NSW to Victoria. Quick and painless and a lot easier and cheaper than in NSW. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |
