Oh man that sounds awesome!

Was going to go for a bike ride, walked outside to take the dog to pee, and went "hello treadmill!" I want your coastal walk! I could be cold for whales!

Cheers, great to hear your doing well xxx

No energy today. Decided to have a rest day from working in the yard. Went over to Greensie for breakfast, had a haircut, bought some wine and smokes and came home.

Couldn't just sit and shill though so I did end up going outside. Dragged the old cheap smoker BBQ I was ready to chuck away and decided to use it for a fire pit and burn some of the scrap timber, just the little bits. Got a nice clean roaring flame going and while that was going I want and dragged some of the sheets on galvanised iron from down beside what's left of the shed and loaded about 15 into the trailer. Bastard of a job getting 15-20 years of debris off them first, but broke the back of it.

Only about 15 sheets to go which is tomorrow's job, minimal timber still standing and a timber floor to break up and burn now I know how well the fire pit works.

Coming together slowly, pity I can't just drive down to Home Depot and hire half a dozen mexicans for $50 each to come around and clean up all the rubbish for me.

Local Bottle O has both for $14.99 each. Have been seeing Pepperjack Reserve for $27+. Not sure if it's the same drop or just for suckers.

1. Mrs WPT back to work full time since her hip replacement. Very Happy Very Happy She's independent, in some pain but tolerable.

2. Youngest coming back from Hols in Thailand the other day (though it was also nice just the two us).

3. Riding my bike & about to buy this bike: (I've never really ridden a road bike before):

4. Next week I'm off to the sunshine coast hinterland (not with that bike) & doing an 8 day ride on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. I'm overweight & not as prepared as I was but WTF - the 6-8 week manbola virus slowed my training but I've doing some rides & spin classes.

Sounds like a great idea.

That last morning is a short ride to finish but we have to:

* pack the bike into a box & leave it / take it somewhere to be taken by courier (as with others coming from Melbourne to a depot in North Melbourne
* find my luggage &
* get me & the luggage on a bus by ? 1230 or so to Brisbane airport Sad

The good thing about this ride is that there are only about 600 or more riders.

Aside from a good Pies replay to watch, neighbouring Croke Park is hosting the Gaelic footy semis today.

My mother's background is Irish and from the west. So when visiting Ireland some years ago, I adopted County Mayo as my team.
Bloody hell, it's the Pies all over again!
They last won the title back in 1951, they have been in 7 Finals since only to lose them all with the obligatory last gasp goals conceded, extra time losses, draws and eventual replays lost. Sound familiar?
Being Irish, all this bad luck naturally must be due to some higher power. There is a famous curse applied to Mayo as when they last won in '51 the team journied home to Mayo celebrating all the way. They passed through a town with a funeral occurring. As they didn't pay respects and kept celebrating on their team bus a curse was applied that Mayo would never win again until every player in the '51 side is dead! Yuk that's a hell of a curse! But so far it's worked.
C'mon Mayo break the curse and beat those Dubliners!
