Well done Animals Lebanon!!!!!
After years of trying finally
Lebanon gives teeth to big cat protection efforts
The death of a baby lion cub kept as a pet in Lebanon has inspired a major government-backed campaign to halt mistreatment and trafficking of big cats in the country.
Lebanon's Minister of Agriculture Akram Chehayeb pledged to use "all legal means to seize any animals from traffickers or unlicensed shops."
"These animals don't belong in a cage or in a home as a symbol of power or personal wealth," Chehayeb added.
At present, Lebanon's animal welfare laws are both outdated and rarely enforced, with maximum fines for cruelty amounting to around $15.

^ Nah - seriously not needed - this will be our 4th trip and have never ever been remotely frightened or threatened!
We are careful where we go Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia and then finish in Cape Town - all natural parks the critters don't associate humans with food -they pay you little heed - you just have respect their space especially the eles and the rhinos - dem big buggars
And it's just blissful to just be us - bickies and cheese and a few beers in the esky - although this time we will have a fridge - bonus!!
We really wanted to go to Gorongosa NP in Mozambique - but DFAT have a " reconsider you need to travel" warning for that area - and so we decided that would be irresponsible _________________ “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.” |

Good luck to you, I'll take your word that you feel safe but if I was driving around those areas, the critters would be the last thing I'd be worrying about defending myself against. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

^ so take Namibia for example it is around a 12th of the size of the entire land of the septics but the entire population is 2 and a half million (and most live in the major cities Windhoek and Swakopmund which we don't care for) - it's like the top end you can drive for miles and miles and never see another human - bliss!!!
Punctures from the gravel roads are the greatest problem - says she touching wood e.g. own forehead _________________ “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.” |

Yeah, my only issue would be that the few humans you do run into in the bush are likely to be armed and not overly well disposed toward white fellas. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |
