I know I'm behind schedule, but I just peesed myself raw at the first episode of Flight of the Conchords Laughing

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flight_of_the_Conchords_(TV_series)

I remember LOLing at the "Inner City Pressure" vid in the past, but I never actually realised it was part of a TV series Embarassed

[quote="stui magpie"]So been a few days, mum has settled in and I haven't lost it yet.

She decided happily that I could cook which suits me, I like cooking, she likes cleaning so I cook and she washes up. Score.

Couple of times I've had to use the "FFS, stop, look and think" on basic stuff but she's getting the hang of it.

So far so good. Smile[/quote

Kudos to you and your mum. It sounds like you have a good relationship and are adjusting well.

A win in a cricket semi-final made me happy yesterday!!!! Very Happy
Good hard-fought 2-day game played in the right spirit between 2 teams that have "history".
We both went hard at each other without going too far, and great respect shown afterwards when the opposition hung around for a few beers with us for the better part of 2 hours.

Next stop - 4-day Grand Final.
Nervous few days with selection on Thursday, there are genuinely 13-14 to pick from, and I'll be in the mix without being locked in at this stage.

so i spent a good part of the day (and night, gees no wonder im yawning!) sorting out the first few days of our USA trip. Washington took a looooong time! city hotels 4th of July week! finally got a good deal. its amazing how many of museums etc are free!

anyhow, anyone planning a trip might find this useful:

http://www.visitacity.com/?gclid=CO6N0NTgrssCFQaSvQod_XsOYQ

its not just for the States either,
basically you put in the city, and how long you will be there, and it gives you suggested itineraries, and you can add things, or delete them, and change the time at each place. its brilliant. i have Washington all mapped out with a walking map!

ugh, bed time! tomorrow, Philly, speedway in williams grove, and on to new york new york!!

Went to a nice deli in Dublin today - one of the best so far, though neither the latte nor flat white were up to my exacting standards (but they rarely are Cool )

My partner got this:

This week's special. Dijon mustard, Guinness braised beef, sauted mushroom & onion, blue cheese, candied pecan dust with rocket on a sourdough roll

Very nice indeed. Flesh eaters would love the Guinness braised beef.

slept for 14 hours and just had a coffee and 2 slices of toast and it's still in my stomach. Smile

Now I just gotta shake the fogginess in the noggin. My brain is operating like I'm 0.1BAC

Looks yum.

Gimme some horseradish with the beef though.

You off work?

I've got 2 days of work left.

I'm taking 6 weeks leave & Mrs WPT is picking me up from the Police station en route to the airport tomorrow night - working till the last minute - couldn't change the flight & then 10 days in Malaysia.

Looking forward to relaxing & unwinding - it's been soooooo busy at work & it's hard to attract experienced staff.

^

First sick days in over 2 years. Yesterday morning I couldn't hold down water, I'd either vomit or shit it out at great force.

Managed to get the guts under control by yesterday arvo and after 14 hours sleep (which I haven't done since I was a teenager) my brain feels like mush but is slowly coming good.
