The UK weather of late has been like Autumn in Melbourne Great for exercising and getting about. A tad windy, but still the best stretch of nice weather since I've been here.
Do any of you Pommies know if Autumn is often like this?
I'll take it, regardless. Great timing with the new exercise program underway, too! _________________ In the end the rain comes down, washes clean the streets of a blue sky town.

^ not sure if I'm a pom (my life has been about 50% in Australia and 50% here), but.... September is usually like this. October is like winter in Melbourne, and November a bit like winter in Denmark. And that trio is autumn ! Enjoy September while it lasts - some of September will probably be like October, _________________ Two more flags before I die! |

What a brilliant Friday arvo. Started off ratty with having to cancel my morning schedule and respond to emergencies, all fixed by lunchtime so the boss says I might as well go home for the day as long as I stay contactable. No dramas.
Sitting on the front porch enjoying the sunshine, drinking margaritas and smoking cigars, watching 2 Sudanese guys unload 2 pallets of bricks by hand for the next door neighbour, then chatting to him while he puts up scaffold so they can finish bricking the side of his house next to my boundary. They're using my driveway as access, which is fine with me as long as I can get in and out.
Reminds me of the good old days back in the 80's when the weekend started at midday Friday and I used to have to drive from Port melbourne to Camberwell with one eye closed so I only saw one road. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Spent a good part of the day building a wardrobe in the room I'm renovating. No flat pack stuff, bought the material and built it myself.
As a cabinet maker I make a good HR Manager but hey, it'll work. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

If you'd grown up in Richmond during the 70's and 80's you wouldn't. _________________ #TEAMBUCKS

Yes - imagine a mid-1970s Ninthmond team losing the contested possessions count 115 to 149.
On another note, this is why people shouldn't mock Bartlett - I hated him playing against us but he always turned up to play in September. Someone should give Cotchin a DVD of Hungry's September highlights (just don't make me watch it). |

Just bought a 20 inch shimano bike for the girlfriends 8 year old boy. 5 gears and brakes (which his old bike doesn't have) and chunky tyres so he ride to school and ride to the temple. Cost brand new $100.00. A couple of bucks for a lockable chain. Seriously consumers in Australia are being taken for mugs. _________________ Annoying opposition supporters since 1967. |
