My son is going to be a father. They made the announcement today.

I'm going to be an official Grandfather. Apparently I have to use my father as the grandfather role model and not my grandfather. Meh, bit of both will work.

So many things wrong with this situation, but there's also a lot of right.

This is his life, my gig is to be there and provide the support. He's repaid my investment in getting him and his missus a place to live and forking out for the bond and first months rent by getting motivated and getting work.

All will be good from here, I decree it so.

(thanks to TP for not inadvertently spilling the beans.)

Congrats Pa. Goodness me, Pa Stui

It's my mum's 79th birthday tomorrow - and there she is still really well and enthralled with the lovely animal scarve I bought her whilst in Africa Cool

Almost 2 years since they gave her 6 weeks to live - I'm so glad she is still with us - she is an amazing woman and I love her to bits!!!

Nice one "M".

Youngest found out today she got 90% for her subject doing the parliamentary Internship - which she thoroughly deserves as she worked bloody hard on her 6,000 word research paper & 2,000 word reflective piece.

Give her some well-deserved praise from an onlooker who is always happy to hear of the progress of Nickster offspring of the likes of yourself, TP, Stui, (and now David Shocked), and more of you good folk.

That must feel good for you and Ms. WPT, I can imagine.

That's an incredible result WPT! The highest mark I've ever attained at uni is 86 in a first year subject so 90 is an incredible achievement and your daughter should be very proud of that.

You're no better than a Muslim extremist.

Bugger off back to your own country if you can't support the Aussies!

Probably going to rain on day 5, Aussies just have to hold on (or you know, actually make some runs).

Cheers Jezza. I think it's her highest mark too. She is stoked & worked bloody hard on it.

Not "Team Australia" is it? TP needs to choose whose side she's on. Given it's not "Team Australia" then she's supporting terrorism.
