recently, i have picked up some gainful employment that not only allows me to work from home but it also means i get a three day week on occasion.

I got promoted way above my level of competence years ago. If it wasn't for the fact that my boss and the people who work for me all seem to think I know what I'm doing i'd be holding a stop/slow sign.
Good day today, day off work, did some work in the house, caught up with the son for lunch, took the mutt for a walk, .......
Basically, all good, happy about life.

Was a funny old night, after 2 of these great big hulking 19 year olds jumped in the ice cold pool, they were a bit noisy (funny that!) Hubby told me they were too noisy (it was midnight!) so I went to ask them to be quiet. I could see the light on in the spare room, so I poked my head in the door and I could hear noise, they were all in the sauna! 6 of them! It fits 4 comfortably, and I can drunk dance in the middle of it, but OMG! I went down stairs to turn off the pool lights, and came back up to them walking down the hallway to get dressed, the girls in sports bras and sports shorts, and the four guys in boxers! I did not know where to look! Oh to be young again!

So far so good with my shingles. Rash going down, not too much pain so far & has been easing. I'm off work till next Wednesday i.e., 4 more days off.
Daughter number 1n was also given a pay rise recently & not asked for - well done her.
Daughter number 2 while handing in her paper to finish her internship & degree went for her first "professional" job interview & made it to a second round. Lost out to a person with 10 years experience.
They've subsequently offered her a position for 4 days a week with very good pay for a BA student.

Picked up the keys for our new house down in Hampton today. I'm really happy with it, and can't wait to properly move in.
We also have a proper backyard for the first time in over three years.
