That'll be the day. |
in 2010 we did the south rim, and you get more of a natural setting. you also get to stop at route 66 on that trip, and it was a really cool spot!!
|
Yeah, not much bush to be found on the south rim theses days, not since the Brazilians invaded.
And Stui, do act your age, don't go trying to root 66 year olds as appears to be the done thing over there for some reason. |
I think I'll aim at 3 22 year olds. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

You need at least a three inch mortar or a suitable anti-tank missile to do any good with elephants. Give that friendly Mr Putin a call, he's sure to have a spare one you can borrow. |
Actually, a shotgun could do the trick provided it had the right ammo. A solid slug in a shotgun isn't too dissimilar to the original elephant guns. At least the old fashioned 1800's style hunters treated it as a test. Better 1 on 1 at the end than having 50 fucktards with AK47's all firing at once. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

I know no one is probably interested and saying DILLIGAF
We have had the best day - saw the desert elephants and saw 5 desert lions basking in the sun after a feed - fat belly cats lounging around with the sun on their bellies and massive feet in the air!
And then back to the lodge as the only guests there - fantastic food and wine - great staff from the local village - himba, damara and herero - we took some Aussie key rings with us and gave them to the staff and they thanked us (which is a tad embarrassing as they were cheap trinkets) with songs and dances from their culture - amazing voices and just a true joy!
We have left some Aussie soccer balls for the local school kids - they were playing football in the dirt with rolled up socks - we hope they will like them.
The local mini mart and bar was called Manchester United Trading - what a great and amazing place Africa is _________________ “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.” |

Thanks Jo...
I suspect the "noise of tools" they want to get awae from are mostly myself and the 93 year-old Frank.
If I'm Stihl making a noise turning a lathe when I reach his age, I'll be happy old/young man).
