I got to watch the football at KGV today for free, we earned them $500 on the gate today selling raffle tickets. Glenorchy won both Development League and seniors. The Development League was 160 points, Seniors 100 points.
I have been approved to rent to buy a pretty good camera, so I can do some of my photography programs. Also got to have a word with Michael "Patch" Styles, Glenorchy legend. Still a great bloke and still in pretty good shape. _________________ Ðavâgé

So the AK 47 went through OK then? |
We are talking about the US, after all! At customs, those who were found to be without semi-automatic weapons of mass death were herded into a media room and given a stern lecture on the Second Amendment by a hologram of Charlton Heston, before being granted provisional entry and a 30% Guns 'R' Us discount coupon! _________________ In the end the rain comes down, washes clean the streets of a blue sky town.

^In a bitter twist, we wander down to a local township called Seal Beach, which is quaint and has a really nice pier. So I type in a search to read about the area and, yes, eight people were killed in a mass shooting on the main drag right amongst the artisan-style shops back in 2011
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_Seal_Beach_shooting
On the other hand, there was a disabled elderly black man in a wheelchair seemingly stuck on the pier late (causing me angst, not knowing if he was stranded, with someone, or whatever). Anyhow, one nice young white fella asked him if he needed a hand and wheeled him back.
Such are the highs and lows of the world in which we live. _________________ In the end the rain comes down, washes clean the streets of a blue sky town.

Scored some good gold reserve tickets to Elton John in December, can't wait!
Been to three concerts this year, three to go, Fleetwood Mac, and Neil diamond, more concerts than I've been to in my whole life in 1 year!
The only other real concert was meatloaf at the old festival hall, when he was at his peak, it was awesome. Oh and the Angels and Vonda shepherd at crown. (Yep she's a one hit wonder!).
Used to go to a lot of club bands, Suzi q, solid rock band, can't spell it! Uncanny men the absolute favourite! Been to one "on the green".
Still want Dolly Parton. That would be cool. _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |

Getting ready to start the move to Ballarat. On the edge of burnout right now, so just gotta "keep on swimming" as Dory says and then collapse in a cold, wet heap in front of a heater once its all done. |

I went to Los Angles for a conference about twenty years ago (Silicon Valley was still sucking on the analogue nipple back then)
I had a week-end to kill so I went wandering done Wiltshire and stumbled on the La Brea tar-pits museum.
I vaguely remembered reading about at school.
Inside it's loaded with more complete mastadon, dire-wolf, giant sloth etc skeletons and interactive exhibits than you could swing a sabre-toothed at!

Extreme roller-coastering isn't everyone's cup of Joe but 5 Flags (I think it's 6 now) was a dae of gut churning out-side loops, high G inverted corkscrews and adrenaline-fueled near-death experiences!
At the end of the dae I thought I'd died and gone to heaven.
I woke up on Monday morning and realized I was stihl in LA with 3 days of conventioning to go...

I was working at the North/Richmond game, I helped lift the blocks to weigh down the Spirit of Tasmania archway, also put banners on as many seats as we could. I would think that I walked the oval about four times yesterday from 8am until 4:30pm (when the game was over.) I got to stick around for the game they gave us pretty good seats, almost right behind the goals I sat about 5 rows back from the behind post.
The game wasn't that great but the guy in Sponsorship suggest they may use us again for the next game. I am very sore this morning but feel good about the fact that I did a lot of what could be considered exercise.
It seems I've been losing weight more, so maybe more work like that and i might be in a lot better shape. Though lifting those 35kg blocks really killed me haha. _________________ Ðavâgé

Stanford University—stunning campus, frighteningly elite environment. You wonder how everyone else on earth can compete. Mind-blowing, in fact; if you've got bright kids, try to get 'em there.
San Francisco—very cool. _________________ In the end the rain comes down, washes clean the streets of a blue sky town.
