Thank's guys!

You wouldn't believe how good the news I've had today (and I've had a lot of it) truly is!

Stui, I need to talk to you about that origami knife.
I mentioned these credit card knives to the guard at the Court House and he said knows all about them and if you are caught carrying one in a wallet (anywhere in public) you are in very serious trouble.

Cheers Stui.
I had to tell you that.

Great stuff. You well & truly deserve it.

I AM THE LUCKIEST MUM ALIVE!!

Tomorrow just after lunch, me and junior head up to lake mountain, for the 8 Klm winter warrior challenge, that's right, 8klm up and down a mountain, with snow and obstacles for good measure! I can't wait, I need the rest!

junior is worried about the cold, I can see it! don't blame her. but she knows her mum feels like shes getting close to the end of this kind of challenge. well with her daughter anyway!

every second I spend with my kids, is worth more than I can put into words. the fact she will do this with her crazy out there mum, means so much. nikki cut those apron strings a long time ago, I wasn't ready. and im sorry for my part in it. we are just different. but we get along pretty good now,

but Cait, she surely is my gift from God, im about to hit 2 years without my mum. and Shes the only one apart from a friend of mine, who will face that with me. the rest just pretend its not there. and I get that, I don't begrudge them that. but Cait, she feels it too, and she feels it for me.

how lucky am I?

I don't like this getting older shit, so im just not going there. for some kids, that's hard to take. but Cait lets me do that. my knees been dodgy, all week, ive had a brain cat scan this week due to headaches since that lovely shiner, yet an osteo seems to have fixed that!! im working hubby hours (and its $$%^%%$ killing me, the mans a machine!) not the best prep for the race, but who cares? as long as I finish, I don't care how long it takes me.

ill post a pic. be warned, I know leggings arnt pants, but they r 4 a race!!

I simply cant wait! I hate hate hate, being remotely chilly, but I cant wait to hit the snow. im not allowed to do too much overhead, thanks to the way I landed on the tiles, seems my shoulder popped, but hey, ill pay him next week to fixit! hes a magpie boy! worked for the crows once!! cute too!

but even if I cant do all the challenges, ill try them.

so y am I sitting here typing away at midnight when my bones are so tired? dunno! just enjoying the silence. just feeling grateful. for my family, for just being alive. 2 dogs curled at my feet, both pleading me to take them to bed!!

I guess im a bit scared. can I do this? will I quit? well that will be a first!! mate, id crawl if I have to! with 2 years coming up im feeling a little peace. im going to finally spend a little of mums money next year, taking junior to volneteer at either an elephant sanctuary (depending on the ebola thing) or maybe the moon bears of asia. she wants to go with me!! mum would just love that.

sometimes it makes u feel a little guilty this happy shit. like whats coming next?

hubby thinks im crazy for loving my bug the way I do, but for some reason, she just makes me bliss out!! (yup that's me doing 65 in 70, sorry, im just not in a hurry!)

be thankful for the little victories. the past 4 years have taught me that. its been 6 months since we got the news that the cancer is gone, 2 years since I said goodbye to my mum, and yet, its just now, when im so tired, that I suddenly feel so grateful.

life is good. live it. you just don't know what tomorrow will bring.

so wear that expensive perfume, dance like no one is watching, and live it. just live it.

life is good.

and only 1 scotch, I promise!!

cheers

Hey Jo!
You could have saved your self some serious cash and gone skiing in Ballaarat instead!

This a snap outside Barbs workplace last week.
She had the dae off, "Bugger" she said, "I've never been to the snow!")

Thanks guys

Had a fantastic steak meal at the local patisserie, with a glass of mulled wine. Brought a slice of lemon lime pie, home made fudge and a rum ball back to our cabin, oh so good! Watching footy with Cait, it's peaceful and so nice here. There's an electric blanket on my bed, haven't had one for years! Really having a great time

Ready for bed already!

Cheers xxx nite nite!

I DID IT IN THE SNOW!!

buggered!!
9klm just over 2 hours,
well done me!!

-could not have done it without Junior, klms 7 and 8, uphill through foot deep snow, seriously kicked my butt!! She was right there with me, encouraging me, to keep going, not getting mad even when my old lady shuffle became a stumble!!
