^ Thanks guys.

The next step is to complete my practical legal training (PLT) which will take approximately six months, so I can then be admitted as a lawyer by the Supreme Court of Victoria. This is a mandatory requirement for all law graduates before they can practice.

The area of law I'm interested in working in is in civil law.

Good stuff Jezza!

Made me realize, I've been a plumber for 37 years Shocked

The progress with waste water treatment and water purification systems has been amazing! Also, the different types of; fixtures, materials and tooling that is available these days is phenomenal!

When I first started in the trade; galv pipe was the main water supply pipework, drains were earthenware and a cordless drill was one you had to spin the handle on!
Plumbers today have no idea how easy they have it.

I guess Law would be the opposite? More complicated than ever? Good luck with your endeavors mate.

law shouldn't be more complicated, there's just more of them than ever that overlap.

Politicians make laws
Courts and tribunals make rulings that serve as precedents to interpret them
Lawyers look for ways to manipulate them.

A dance as old as civilisation.

If only you’d done a BA:

Law is made through parliament and the courts.

😜

Huh? Have some toast.

Courts don't make laws, they interpret them and make rulings on them, but laws are made by politicians via parliament, as I said. Confused

Too much toast?

Common Law is made by Judges.
