Looking at HR jobs, not feeling inspired so I tried something completely different.

Went into the city today and signed up with a Talent agency. Gonna try my hand at acting and see how it goes. Shit, I've been pretending to be a HR professional for 20+ years, how hard can it be?

Go back in next week to get a professional photo shoot done in various clobber, then see what happens.

WTF, you only live once, why not try something while I can?

Bought my first car with $$$ from acting/catalogue shoots. But that was back in the day when I was young (& apparently cute). So long ago that the main show I was in younguns have never even heard of - The Sullivans. See - ages ago! But they need all sorts these days so why not!

That was my thoughts, I'm not exactly young, or cute.

How'd you get on with Susan hannaford?

Stui, do you have amateur acting experience? I guess they asked for past experience in the questionnaire, right?

They did ask, I have none.

A lot of the jobs going for extras in TV and commercials etc don't require any experience.

She was lovely actually, have a photo of me with her somewhere at Mum's place. She was the nicest of the bunch, not the nut job she is today! Shocked

You sure you posted this in the correct thread?

I smell a mid life crisis. Laughing

Anyway good luck.

^^^ I think you go for the male lead in "Hamlet" - then you don't get too unhappy when they select a younger, better-looking bloke. If you try out for "third corpse from the left in the grow-house siege" and you don't get it, where do you go from there?

LOL.

I actually have multiple plans. Went in for an interview yesterday with a leading HR Recruitment firm. Notionally for a 3 month contract assignment, but the recruiter had already submitted my resume for that job so the conversation was more about doing short term contract assignments in general, and for them, As a casual.

so, got the talent agency option, HR contracting option and airtasker. In the mean time I have projects to do round the houses and there's always centrelink to provide a top up.

How about a gigolo specialising in the fat, ugly and elderly?

They can't afford to be picky. Laughing
