Really happy with it, bathroom and other stuff is a lot netter than I remembered from inspection, had it functionally liveable within 36 hours which included some op shop furniture for the lounge room and getting a bloke in to fix the TV antenna.
Overall settled in quickly and had a relaxing time. Restumping is going to be the biggest priority, followed by painting but it's perfectly habitable now. |
Good on you. Before and after pics of the famous bathroom might be order at some point... _________________ Two more flags before I die! |

The bathroom reminds me of the house I grew up in. half the town built new bathrooms in the early 70's when we got connected to sewerage and i reckon the same bloke did them all.
The shower and wet areas have this waterproof patterned cement sheet, the other walls are plain cement sheet and the floor is cheap lino.
The shower in this place, the walls are pristine. No soap scum, mould or rot. Cement shower floor (which I like) all very clean and workable.
I'll try to whack some photos up tomorrow but I don't use any of those photo sites so I need to shrink them to fit the pixel requirement to upload them. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

How wonderful was Billy Slaters speech?
Great match, that try from the beared one who ran the length of the field to sartt procedings and Cameron Smith - sheer genius & presence of mind.
Simply wonderful. _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman

^ Yep Billy is - well- he just seems to be a good human! My mum loves Billy - I reckon she loves Billy more than she loved Didak - which IMO is spot on Billy can seriously play and as good as Dids was Billy is as good if not better and certainly Billy is a good bloke too - the other one not so much!
We hail from Balmain NSW - we followed the Balmain Tigers and then they merged with Wests no thanks! Go Storm!!!
Bellamy is a genius and if you want to talk true leadership over years Cam Smith is the man!
Well done STORM - premiers 2017!!! _________________ “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.” |

When you said it was unfit for human habitation, I was envisaging triffids climbing out of the joists, whereas that sounds pretty habitable after all. Still, pics would be good. _________________ Two more flags before I die! |

I thought Smith ought to have won the Churchill medal. My wife & youngest love the three names: Smith, Slater & the best name going around in football Cooper Cronk. _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

Good luck Stui with your ongoing project. Word of warning, '70's cement sheet usually means asbestos. |

OK, try to put some photos up, I've resized them so they should fit. Just noticed it loads photos last one at top, so start at the bottom and scroll upwards rather than top down. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Not so much inside now that i've had a really good look. It's all functional so I'm not going to blow money I don't need to.
First job is to get it re-stumped, then I can fix the plaster and strip the lino off the floors.
main work is outside, needs paint and some decking built. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |
