Hehe, yep!
I tend to only adjust if the settings were wrong when I took the pic, and the light is really off as to what the reality was!
Except when it's a pic of me, gotta love the smooth tool!
Cheers and thanks! _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |

Brilliant photos. Were you wearing your Greenpeace T-shirt when you went to the pub?
The photos are crystal clear. Sounds like you had a brilliant time of it. Goodonya. _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

The Blizzard, Icefields Parkway:
first you hear a massive CRACK! and then this happens ever so gracefully:
iphone panorama of frozen lake
and Banff
Sewerd, Alaska
i could have watched these Puffins all day!!
gratuitous black and white bird!!
great shot!!
Its been a bit brrrr today, but try standing on the back of a train for a couple of hours on the way to Anchorage - and it was worth every minute! I cant believe they let you out there! and that there was only me, 1 guy and another lady out there!! just an amazing experience. i took all the following shots from the back platform of the train:
sharp bend!
simply magical. _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either!

Crikey! Almost feel like this should be split off into a landscape-porn thread. Beautiful shots, TP. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

Thanks mate.
I guess I can't complain about any epic sized posts now though!
The hard part is selection, when that chunk of glacier sliced off (they were taken in glacier bay by the way, the size of the park has to be seen to be believed)I had the camera on sport Infiniti and just let it go, took over twenty photos, all crystal clear.
I filmed a smaller calving too, and then I put the camera away and just watched! It's sad when you hear how far the glaciers are receding, but simply mesmerising to watch. _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |

I'm in the U.S too at the moment. At the stunning Bryce Canyon in Southern Utah. What made me happy - the gobsmacking scenery & the Utah temp forecast. The next 4 days are expected to be full sun with 34, 37, 36, then 38 degrees! Great summer weather. |

Fantastic photos, Jo.
You've really captured the experience you had in the US from those photos. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

Awesome pics, TP. Magical.
Midnight Oil were great last night. I can certainly confirm this is no "old farts milking fans" tour; they looked as fit as blokes half their age, and it was reflected in the performance.
The man himself was energetic enough, and only had to modify two songs significantly (only King of the Mountain and Forgotten Years as originally sung were beyond him, but they wisely left those for the encore, along with Dreamworld). Parts of Power and the Passion were also modified, but it wasn't diminished in the slightest.
Short Memory, US Forces, The Dead Heart, Blue Sky Mine and Beds are Burning, among others, were as rocking as ever.
They're still a powerful combo, and I wouldn't be surprised to hear those in the know say the group is technically even better than in the past (particularly as Peter Garrett has always been a "character vocalist" - I think that was the term Andrew used in his article). _________________ In the end the rain comes down, washes clean the streets of a blue sky town.
