Glenorchy winning the 2016 Grand Final Very Happy Good win by the Magpies after struggling early in the game. Great second half. Jaye Bowden was the Lynch Medal winner, and French best on ground.

First State League flag since 1999, first premiership since 2008. So happy. Smile

Doctor's advice: stay in bed and watch all Star Wars movies in chronological order. Only commence with ep.1 Phantom Menace if vomiting needs to be induced. Wink

Sound advice. Though it wasn't that kind of infection.

Last time I had an infection like this it was in my neck and almost lead to being paralysed.

Claremont won a hard game at North Hobart, into the Grand Final, their fourth in a row apparently. They lost 2 won 1, so hopefully they can make it 2-2.

Aside from a good Pies replay to watch, neighbouring Croke Park is hosting the Gaelic footy semis today.

My mother's background is Irish and from the west. So when visiting Ireland some years ago, I adopted County Mayo as my team.
Bloody hell, it's the Pies all over again!
They last won the title back in 1951, they have been in 7 Finals since only to lose them all with the obligatory last gasp goals conceded, extra time losses, draws and eventual replays lost. Sound familiar?
Being Irish, all this bad luck naturally must be due to some higher power. There is a famous curse applied to Mayo as when they last won in '51 the team journied home to Mayo celebrating all the way. They passed through a town with a funeral occurring. As they didn't pay respects and kept celebrating on their team bus a curse was applied that Mayo would never win again until every player in the '51 side is dead! Yuk that's a hell of a curse! But so far it's worked.
C'mon Mayo break the curse and beat those Dubliners!

The curse continues!
Mayo still can't win as the final is a scintillating draw and they're off to a replay!!
Mayo 0-15, Dublin 2-9 (it's 3 points for a goal)
Both Dublin goals were accidental own goals ricocheting off Mayo players (the curse again)
Goddam it, it's happened again!

Claremont went 3 for 3 in the SFL Grand Final today beating the heavily fancied Lindisfarne in the seniors. The Two Blues' only two loses were against the Magpies all season, which included today.

Back to back for all three grades for Claremont, so very happy that my last game of the season I got to see my team lift all three cups again. Very Happy

I hate shopping with a passion but we timed it right today and got 2 -8C sleeping bags that zip for a double, are light weight and not too bulky to carry for just under $200 Smile Smile

My brother is wrapped. He is a Claremont life member and played over 200 games for them.

Gives the old bloke a reason to have another frothy.
