The following is from TMZ.com:

Hulk Hogan's son Nick was involved in a car accident tonight in Clearwater, Fl. Law enforcement tell TMZ Hogan was involved in a serious car accident with multiple victims around 7:31 p.m. ET tonight. The accident happened on Court Street, a main drag in downtown Clearwater, causing the entire street to be shut down for hours. No call was made to police, the accident was actually called in by a police officer who rolled up right after the accident happened. No word on injuries.

Here is the Associated Press article: CLEARWATER - Nick Bollea, son of Tampa Bay's most popular wrestler, Hulk Hogan, and his friend were injured after his car careened out of control and struck a palm tree in the median of the four lane highway on Court Street, police said. Both were taken by helicopter to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg. The high-speed crash occurred at 8 p.m., police said. Bollea was driving eastbound on Court Street, approaching downtown Clearwater when it crashed. The car was destroyed on impact, police said. The Fire Department had to free the men.

Police said the wreck is shutting down traffic east and westbound on Court Street, the primary traffic artery in the city. Police are at the scene interviewing witnesses who say the car was moving at a high rate of speed.

Hulk Hogan had moved his family to Miami so his children could pursue acting and singing careers. His daughter, Brooke, has a music career, while Nick's passion is cars, according to a bio on the show's website. Terry "Hulk Hogan" Bollea, the popular wrestler also known for his reality show, "Hogan Known Best," is one of Tampa Bay's most popular celebrities.

His children have gained notoriety because of the show. On a recent show, Hogan's wife and his children want one of the biggest wrestling stars to undergo a makeover. They make fun of the way the Hulkster dresses.

They tell him he has to dress better now that he's in Miami. They joke that he's no longer in Clearwater, where people don't dress as nice.

No other details have been released yet.

More Breaking News On Nick Hogan Accident

TampaBays10.com is reporting that two young men, one being Hulk Hogan's son Nick Bollea (or Nick Hogan), were injured tonight when their vehicle careened out of control and hit a palm tree in Clearwater, FL on Sunday. One of the young men has been listed as critical and the other as serious. There is no word on what Nick Hogan's status is at this point. Preliminary investigation indicates the car was traveling at a very high rate of speed. We will continue to follow this story as it develops.

The following is from CNN.com: (CNN) -- The teenage son of wrestling star Hulk Hogan and a companion were seriously injured in a high-speed car accident in his hometown of Clearwater, Fla., Sunday evening, a police spokesman said. Nick Bollea was the driver of a Toyota Supra that went out of control and slammed into a palm tree while headed out of downtown Clearwater at a "high rate of speed" about 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Clearwater police spokesman Wayne Shelor said. "It destroyed the car," he said. Hogan, one of the top professional wrestlers of the 1980s and 1990s, is now featured in the VH1 reality show "Hogan Knows Best." His son, wife and daughter regularly appear on the show. A helicopter took Bollea and his passenger, whose identity was not immediately released, to a hospital in nearby St. Petersburg after paramedics removed them from the wreckage, Shelor said. "They're both down there. Nick's father (Hulk Hogan) is down there," he said. (Posted 9:35 p.m.)

The injuries are said to be 'very very serious'.

God, I thought it was Paul Hogan!

Not really interested in an American in a car accident.

The passenger a young lad named John is reportedly still in a very serious condition in the hospital, while Nick Hogan has apparently left the hospital with Hulk and Bubba Love. According to Bubba Love's myspace blog that was posted this morning U.S Time.

Tampa's CBS affiliate is reporting that witnesses are saying that Nick Hogan's Supra was racing a silver Dodge Viper right before the crash. However, police say it's too early to know for sure what led to the crash. Furthermore, Clearwater Police confirmed that Nick's injuries are non-life threatening. He's now at home recovering.

According to the grandmother of the passenger in Nick Hogan's wrecked car, he may have suffered brain damage due to the crash.

Nick Hogan's Passenger, An Iraq Vet, May Have Brain Damage

CLEARWATER - The passenger in the car wrecked by Hulk Hogan's son Sunday night returned from Iraq last year and may have suffered brain damage in the crash, his grandmother said this morning.

Speaking from Staten Island, Catherine Graziano said her grandson, John Graziano, 22, was with the U.S. Marines in Iraq.

Her son Graziano's father, who lives in Dunedin was nearly incoherent when he told her by telephone of Graziano's condition, she said. She remembered her son saying something to the effect of her grandson may have suffered brain damage.

"He said it doesn't look good," Catherine Graziano said. "He was very incoherent."

"To come home from Iraq and for this to happen," she said before bringing a telephone conversation with a Tampa Tribune reporter to a close. She said she had to work on getting a flight to Florida.

Graziano is in critical condition at Bayfront Medical Center. Meanwhile, Hogan's son, Nicholas Bollea, also known as Nick Hogan, 17, is not listed as a patient any longer at the hospital, a Bayfront spokeswoman said. He is presumed to have been released.

Graziano, whose local address is 1225 Curlew Road in Dunedin, was riding in the front passenger seat of a Toyota Supra driven by Bollea, Clearwater police said.

The Supra "inexplicably" left Court Street on Sunday at 8 p.m. and struck a tree in the median, destroying the car on impact, Clearwater police spokesman Wayne Shelor said. Both of the car's occupants had to be extricated.

"Everything that happened last night was because of excessive speed," Shelor said this morning. "When the car hit, it largely exploded or disintegrated."

No charges have been filed. The investigation into the wreck continues, Shelor said.

This is Bollea's second accident in as many years involving a sports car.

He was driving a yellow Lamborghini when it caught fire in Bay Harbor Islands in Miami in September, according to a report published in the Miami Herald. Bollea was driving the 2001 Lamborghini Diablo VT through a residential area, the report said.

The car caught fire as he was driving, but he got out before it burst into flames, the Herald reported last year.

Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, is popular for his reality show, "Hogan Knows Best," and is one of the Tampa Bay area's best-known celebrities. His children have become celebrities because of the show.

Hogan had moved his family to Miami so his children could pursue acting and singing careers. His daughter, Brooke, has a music career, while Nick's passion is cars, according to a biography on the show's Web site.

On a recent show, Hogan's wife and his children want the wrestling star to get a makeover, making fun of the way the Hulkster dresses. They tell him he has to dress better now that he's living in Miami.

This month, Bollea reported $100,000 in custom jewelry was missing from the family's Miami Beach home, according to news reports. He said someone stole his diamonds. The family recently moved back from Miami to their mansion at 130 Willadel Drive in Belleair.
