Hi guys, just got back from Lebanon yesterday morning, popped on to Nicks and was horrified ( Evil or Very Mad ) to find that the tavern has become a place to talk about favourite music, classifieds, and social lives.

What happened to the days where this was a place to wank on about serious issues such as politics and philosophy, whilst watching the pitiful ( Wink ) Dave n Stui combination struggling to stay afloat in a sea of lefties?

............................

In all seriousness, could we have a bit of clarification from the mods please? Seems to me that there really has been a bit of blurring between the bored board and the tavern. Either i'm hopelessly stuck in the past, or maybe some of the newer posters could be filled in as to the respective purposes of each board. Cheers, and good to be back!

This is an altruistic thread that has risen from my deep concern for the purity of this Ary *cough*, important board. To be honest, I'm not all that fussed... I'm off to alice springs on monday morning!

And your right, i've noticed it too, it's only been the past couple of weeks, but i thought some of the topics were in the wrong place.

I guess it is up to the mods to move topics, I just post where I think it should be, or replying to other posts.

It's August...too early in the year for me to get political and whinge about Christmas time.

Give me at least one more month when the Christmas Commercials kick in, and I'll be ranting 24/7.

Going to be working for 3 months with the GAP youth centre and ANZAC Hill High school.

Out of those two options i would definitely classify the trip as social studies, but lets not kid around... it's going to be a blast learning a bit more about Indigenous Australian culture and getting to know a good bunch of kids.

That's just on the other side of river yeah?

I don't know if you've been there before, But you'll have a blast. I have visited Alice twice now..and camped in and around the outer regions. I miss Alice, hope to get back there in the near future. Enjoy your stay.

Sherrife, whatever you do, stay out of the Todd River.

You'll know what I mean when you get there.
