Demetriou said Lewis had offered to resign. However he will stand down only while the AFL conducts the review of evidence collection, specifically when a report is laid after a match and conclusive video evidence is unavailable.

conclusive video evidence is unavailable? Do they need to borrow my tape of the game? clear as day what happend, and in football what use is a football player as a witness? none!( "I didn't see nuffin" )
Fair dinkum this is just the afl's way of brushing it under the carpet, once again they have been cuaght with there hands on there tools.
EVERY ONE saw what happend, EVERY ONE know's it was atleast a 4 week suspention, if it was a essenscum or a dawk instead of locks there would be no doubt.
The AFL has to have a long hard look at itself.
