I ahve jusr visited the AFL site and it has been announced that we get AFL as a more reasonable time. The Carl V PIES game tomorrow night will be at 9:30pm antr the game on Saturday night will be earlier and also Foxtel have advised that they will se shaoing games earlier.
God I recon that its about time....believe it or not one of my suggestions to the AFL on thier email site was to give us AFL straight after the RL...I think that someone was liestening.
Any way all go and read the article.....makes for interesting reading.

Don't get too happy too early - the arrangements are only for Foxtel. People without still miss out.
Keep up the pressure, people.
Friday AFL games to be shown early on pay TV
April 11 2002
AFL fans in the ACT, Queensland and NSW will get to see prime-time coverage of the blockbuster Collingwood vs Carlton game tomorrow night after all - but only if they have pay TV.
The Australian Football League (AFL) today announced it had reached an agreement with rights holders Nine and News Ltd to allow Friday night games to be shown on pay TV before Nine's late-night broadcast.
But the talks failed to resolve the question of free-to-air coverage, with the AFL saying it was still working with Nine and News Ltd to resolve the matter.
The AFL has been fighting a huge public backlash since the season started two weeks ago and Friday night games were broadcast on Nine after 11pm in the three northern markets.
Nine, which splits the rights to AFL games with Channel 10 and Foxtel, televises National Rugby League games at 8.30pm instead of the AFL.
Under the deal announced today, Austar subscribers in the NSW towns of Wagga Wagga, Deniliquin and Griffith, the Gold Coast and the ACT will see Friday night games at 8.30pm, one hour after the start time.
The Fox Footy Channel will telecast the Friday night match at 9.30pm throughout New South Wales and Queensland, including Sydney and Brisbane, with Nine to replay the match later that night.
