I assume then that all Liberal voters will not vote Liberal this Federal Election as there is no way that Howard will see out another term even if he is returned.
None of Australia's States or even Federally do we vote for our leader. Our Premier or Prime Minister is voted for by a select few. In all party politics factionalism plays a big part in this vote.
The only way we can vote for our leader is to adopt an American type system. One where all Australians vote for the people who will actually hold the reigns, not their lackeys.
I suppose that means we need a Republic ASAP. |

We certainly don't need a republic for that reason. Any republic we may get should not involve a vote for President or whatever the position of GG will be called.
But it is a fraudulent misrepresentation to the people to say what you plans are for the next 4 years and then forget to tell them by the way i am quitting in 9 months. |

Sorry, but in the real world people change. Circumstances change.
With a high pressure job like Premier, that takes up your life 24/7 you may change your mind about the job very quickly.
That is just a human trait. |

Well I wish him and JT all the best in whatever they do in the future
Having worked in the public health system for many many years I am very happy with what he and his government have achieved given what that f&**)* prick Kennett did to the system and to those of us who work it in
Yep it is still far from perfect but many well trained and experienced clinicians have returned following the change of government and it is 1000% times better than it was
I'm happy with Brumby - but then I would be happy with anyone who wasn't a member of the Liberal party

Interesting that the nurses went on strike against a Labour government due to Labor's and David White's ineptitude. |
