Had a full day planning session today. me in the room with 20 women.

Actually enjoyed the day, the new boss showed her stuff and proved (again) why she was a good pickup. I can't do that shit. I proved to myself I could do that job while I was acting, to a point. I knew I'd struggle with this stuff (and also knew it was needed) but she was next level.

Actually really good day, all of the extroverts in the room will still be buzzing like they'd been on a caffeine binge but I'm as flat as a shit carters hat. Totally drained.

That must have been some sort of job interview.

756 in 4 months? Shocked

I get that many in a week. Sad

I was on leave and then jury duty abd away for 6 weeks. Had over 30000 emails. A lot were (someone is in my carpark).Junk email. i grabbed a coffee, said hello to the boss and told my staff I will spend all day getting this reduced. Of course I had been locked out as you had to cahnge password every 30 days. So a phone call to IT and 20 questions. About halfway through some idiot sent a ridiculous petty email about a 2 week old piece of chicken in a fridge in Sydney ans sent ro allm In Defence. Over 15000 of those emails were out of office or rebuttals etc.

A bloke in another building saw me walk in and rang . "Why haven't you answered my email of 3 weeks ago." I said "I have 30000 of these bastrds to get through, What makes you think I would have got to yours 30 minutes after I got inm digested it and responded. You shouid have referred it to whoever I said on my out of office message. He siad I don't have time for reading out of office messages.

Next thing he hangs up and him and his boss comeover and go and see my boss and I get called in.

My answer is this. I was on jury duty putting a child molester in prison. I have messages from the Minister, a few Generals and whatever. You now $£$%^%%$ well tell me that yours is more important than all the others. A bean counting stat question no doubt. I am not apologising. When I get to it I will deal with it, if in fact it is important. Now I am going back to work.

With that my boss says. You bastards have a hide coming over here and telling me what I should prioritise with my middle managers. Now piss off and come back when you are not pestering busy people including me.

It took me a week to clear it all up. I deleted everyone of the dickheads emails and sent him one saying resubmit. I have deleted all yours. I got rid of 40 most asking for a reply aand on only one I put in a nil return. He had been waiting weeks for that.

The ability to send to all in Defence was restricted after that to The CDF, his deputy, The secretary and several ministers plus a couple of IT bods to warn of viruses. Apparently the whole business of Defence Governance was paralysed for 4 days.

These yuppy pricks....

Cone of silence: Ice-cream vans face Mosman Park music ban

Greensleeves, that well-known English ditty — it’s the jingle of choice for ice-cream sellers the world over and brings an instant smile to the faces of the young and young at heart whenever a Mr Whippy van turns into their street.

But it seems the traditional tone is upsetting a few Mosman Park residents, who want to put a lid on ice-cream van owners playing it — and any other music for that matter — along their streets on weekends

That's sad news. I remember reading about the good work of this dude a while back, made a big dint in the ivory trade.

RIP Wayne

They wouldn't do it in Thailand. I would hear a mobile food vendor outside my place 10 times a day. Icecream to brooms to noodles. Councils need to be smart here. Ban them in the streets of the complainers and put a flyer out naming the dickheads. When they get dog crap in the letterbox and a bit of old fashioned neighbourhood rumours they might learn to be a bit more tolerant. I mean these icecream vendors are not roaming around at midnight.

This from a uselless council that charge Mum and Dad water rates when they are on tanks, and rubbish collection fees for a vacant block (and then queried why Mum wanted the bins)

Sanity prevails as the council throws out the ridiculous proposal.

If you love your footy club so much, if it genuinely means so much to you, then BUY A $£$%^%%$ MEMBERSHIP YOURSELF!

Don't come crying to me on the odd chance your team might make the Grand Final, and you want my ticket.

Honestly, this is the time of year you realise people have no shame.
