My beloved set off on our electric bike this morning to have lunch with her friends some 3 minutes away. Some untrained mutt ran under her wheel and Boom had a nasty spill. I took her to a clinic and she has extensive skin abrasions to her mouth, both wrists, her knees and both her breasts. She had all the usual Thai injections and a heap of medicines. My bike needs panel beating. 4 hours later I had a deposition of Thai ladies asking for money to pay for the dogs broken leg. Boom was not amused. Our dog goes out when we let her go and she is under command. "you not look after dog, you go away".

I've still got the bedroom window open, no central heating and just a doona and 1 blanket on the bed. Any more and I wake up sweating.

I was meant to start work today, but was told about the pay structure and the working for almost a month unpaid and also possibilities of penalty if a customer cancelled their donations or they couldn't get the money after a certain time. Also a heap of other stuff, I figured that if I was going to be penalised for something I cannot control then it was unfair and I couldn't work with that over my head, so I quit.

It's probably not good to quit like that, but all the costs involved to get me to and from the job, and everything in between I am not doing that if I am not going to get paid if I don't make sales and if there is a threat of penalty I am better off somewhere else.

That doesn't sound right, might be worth contacting Fairwork or the state labour department. It sounds like a scam, and not going is probably the most sensible thing to do. Dont let the bastards get you down, as my father used to say.
