First week at home and I'm bored, bored, bored!
What do people without jobs do all day every day??

*I call him Dog or Doug, my friends call him My eternal shadow or worse yet, my boy-friend (he's not actually mine, he belongs to an old lady that ....another time)!

.This wonderfully tempered pure breed is the ultimate social lubricant!
At petanque last Sat I went near the wine bar near the Piste to get a nice glass of Shiraz to drink while I play. I start chatting to some tourists** sipping some Cardany (or sumpin like that) we're talking for a few mins when of them asks Hey 3, what's wrong with Dougs eye?"
I say, Nothing, it works perfectly fine. Ha ha ha!
I could have added that it makes it hard for him to catch rabbits (or Hairs) but that doesn't stop him giving it best effort ....but that'd be boardering on too much information and I didn't want to bore her or you too much.
err, hang on mo, if you'll listen to more boring stories like that from me maybe you and hubby ort to head up some time!
Nar, just kidding, the matress isn't back from the industrial cleaners yet and can't afford to just replace it for you! 
** it's bad habit I know but it's 1 I find hard to break.
But it ahs it's compensations every now and again.

Which is why you don't want to get into that habit. When you're used to going to work, not having that routine does give the WTF do I do all day.

Seriously dude, from what you told me I don't know how they'll ever get that mattress clean enough for a human to feel comfortable using it again.

I reckon that mattress is right-off too.
But I figure,..hey wht hell, it's in my indoor man room/shed/computer/personal bed room and it's get real cold at night (I'd reckon).
With out the mattress I've now got this big low bench to store my chainsaws, grain grinders and other stuff so getting a new mattress is quickly becoming a mute point!
P.s they've sent me the bill for disposing of noxious toxic waste and I'm too scared to show the missus.
if that happened i'd need some-where else to store my saws, no-one to warm the bed for me and getting that wood fired stove burning is a bugger/terrifiying!

I book in for a viv, I have no choice where and they send me to bloody Brunswick when there is at least 3 within 20 min of my house!! been trying to change it ALL DAY!
