The idiots who ruled that 10 year old kids shouldn't keep score. I know they're well-intentioned, but they're idiots.

Ask any of those kids what the score is at any point in the game and they can tell you exactly; whether it's on the scoreboard or not.

There are some things that children should be shielded from at that age, but winning and losing isn't one of them.

Ah, thank you.

I agree completely. Kids are competitive, they want to win. Losing hurts, winning feels great. Teach the kids sportsmanship by all means but don't teach them not to compete.

Tell a bunch of 9 & 10 year olds they haven't just played out a gutsy come from behind win...... Rolling Eyes good luck with that.

Exactly Stui. That's the word - sportsmanship.

Of course it's about the enjoyment, but it's also about learning and improving.
Winning and losing with dignity is an important life lesson IMO, and its never to early to learn that.

I agree too. Never understood why they do that, not when I was a kid and not now, either.

I'm the first to support good sportsmanship and playing out of the love of the game, but there's nothing wrong with healthy and respectful competition.

Peak hour traffic in Perth!!!

It's been 10 years since I worked locally, how people commute in that every day is beyond me. An hour and 15 minutes to travel 35k??? I could do that on a pushy no problem.

when next in melbourne you might want to try at peak hour to get from swan st (olympic boulevard) to the eastern freeway onramp driving along punt road/hoddle street. that's only five km or so and can take an hour.

Quicker to walk.

We really need to get the fat slobs off the road and onto bikes.

Two weeks ago, I attended the funeral of a dear friends mum, who finally got to rest in peace, after a long, terrible battle with dementia. 8 long years, the last couple as virtually a vegetable.

Today I find out an old work mate, from back in my apprenticeship days, passed away yesterday after a 12 months battle with MND. Aldo was maybe 5-6 years older than me. A good bloke. I'm just so shocked. And sad. Funny how certain things in your life always stand out in your mind, no matter how long ago it was. The guys at the GMH service garage, or as we liked to be called, the Service animals! Will always be like a family in my mind, no matter how old we all get, or how long since the last reunion! Maybe because high school wasn't much fun for me, and these guys, for the most part, were good to me! I don't know.

So many people I know fighting cancer, or other weird diseases. So much shit in the world that doesn't matter. Is it true that the drug companies don't want cures because they would go broke? Could the profit from just 1 blockbuster movie opening weekend taking, could it buy the cure of just one bloody awful disease?

RIP Schiano, you were a great bloke.

Balloon head Cameron pretending he's got something important to say about the EU. Just STFU and deal with the many problems endemic to the UK, you posturing twit. Honestly, the fool prances around like Lord Muck while many of the answers lie right under his cavernous nose in Germany⸺if only he would stop posturing for five minutes and start leading. Just got Mouse all over the sole of my boot. Mad

Little bugger jumped out of the bread box in the kitchen and took off into the bathroom where he had no where to go. Rather than stand still and let me dong him on the bonce with a broom, he tries to make a run for it between my legs. So I did what any I assume anyone would do in the same situation, stomped on him

Had to wipe the bathroom floor and the sole of my boot.
