I'll say! Back in my day, if you went 1 kilometre over the speed limit they'd throw you in jail, impound your car and cut your left leg off.

It should be *^%*%^ all! A cop wouldn't actually pull you over for being a couple of k's over the limit. There wasn't another car on the road.

Is your car rego $600/yr over there?

51 k's in a 40 zone, Fitzroy st and Lakeside dr intersection camera. Second offence in 30 years, have written a letter for a review in the hope of a warning only. I was able to do this successfully a couple of years ago.

^ She should be eligible for a warning if her driving record has been clean for the past three years.

http://www.police.vic.gov.au/content.asp?Document_ID=10369

For a speeding offence between 10 and 14 kilometers per hour over the speed limit an official warning may be issued if you:

- Hold a current driver's licence, including probationary.
- Have not been issued with a speeding, other traffic Infringement or official warning within the previous three (3) years (a learner permit holder is not eligible for this higher speed warning).
- Have an alleged speed between 10 and 14 kilometres per hour over the speed limit, and
- Do not deny that you committed the offence.

Thanks Seeds. Had no idea that was possible—will keep it in mind for when/if I get my first speeding fine. Smile

The arsewipes have finally moved out our old house. And left it filthy dirty, and punched a hole in the wall. Emptied milk in the sink so it's gone rank. $£$%^%%$ utter scumbags and tomorrow, I'm going to ring every estate agent around here, and warn them. I know they have already got a local place. May karma smack them in the face.

Don't worry I will. Going to sell anyway. Too nice a house to have rented, and too high maintenance. I have landlord insurance. Only time I've ever had it, just had a bad feeling when imet them.

The difference between a good and bad landlord/agent are as remarkable as the differences between good and bad tenants. Having a bad agent might also lead to tenants 'acting up' because they feel put upon. Of course some people are just arseholes, but they'll find it harder and harder to find places to live in unless they can put up the cash upfront (money talks).

Of course a landlord has all the power initially and tenants have most of it once they're entrenched in your property. If you didn't like the feel of these people you should've just declined them, there are always more applicants. Live and learn I guess (and a good lesson for the rest of us if we ever get into this game).
