I'm not talking about when you get them when YOU ring it's when THEY call you about something you don't want, and I treat any Aussie voice the same if they cold call me about some bullshit I dont want

I find telemarketing as annoying as anyone, but I also feel sorry for them. It must be a terrible job. I always try to be polite, or else just hang up as soon as they begin their spiel so that neither of us wastes too much of our time.

I normally give them a quote from the bible. "Go forth and multiply". I just substitute two alternate words but they normally get the picture |

Agreed, it's a terrible job, and anyone doing it deserves sympathy and respect. If I could get hold of their bosses, however, I'd dissolve them in acid.

My computer monitor just started turning itself off after 2 seconds of being on. Bit of research tells me it's probably an issue with 1 or more capacitors. So now I either have to buy a new monitor, keep using my sub standard spare or try and re-learn soldering and electrical repair... something I learned the bare basics of about 20 years ago.
Guess a soldering iron and some capacitors is cheaper than a new screen and the worst I can do is completely destroy it. |
