I went to one in Northern Rd Heidelberg.

Oh and Maxines use to be Christal T's to us oldies.

Is there a Vic Roads in heidelberg? The one near me closed so I go to Uni hill (Sth Morang)

And it seems there's been some changes in the acts with the change of names. Christal T's used to feature male strippers IIRC and was pitched at the hens night brigade. maxines seems to have gone standard.

Bought a Nintendo DS XL from Target's website and everything seems fine. Then get an email saying the order is not going ahead. Check my bank, yep $250 dollars gone to Target.

Call Target "Nope, we didn't get the money call your bank".

Comm Bank : "We approved the transfer, the problem is at their end, call them back"

Target : "No, certainly not, here's an email of us NOT getting your money"

Bank : "Here's an auth number that they did get your money, they can fax us to cancel the transfer, otherwise you wait 7 days to get your money bank"

Target : "Nope, we're not faxing shit. Go and see your bank manager, phone banking people are lazy".

Seriously, nobody wants to help or take responsibility for anything. Also my kid might miss out on having a present until after her birthday if the money doesn't come back. Off to the Bank tomorrow to see if a manager will give enough of a shit to do something.

Nah specialized agents(workshop) who can do a VIV check on written off cars, the one I went too was pissed off because the car was fine it was a peeling paint issue. We had to paint the car to pass the VIV Check.

Do NOT tell me "you can't do that".

I just get through training one lot, now I've got some senior people with a bag full of cats in their skull trying to tell me I can't do stuff and expecting me to just go "Oh, OK. Damn"

DO NOT tell me I can't do that. If you have a problem with what i propose, tell me what might happen, tell me what legislation/policy/procedure/guideline/imagined standard it might breach and why. Tell me what the problem is and let me see if I can solve it, tell me why you think I can't do it and what will break if I try but DO NOT FKN JUST TELL ME I CAN'T DO IT.

I'm quite happy for you to give me facts about why my proposal won't work but I'm sorry to break it to you, your opinion that "You can't do that" does not count.

Had a heated discussion with a mate who works at the same aged care facility I do about the lack of respect for the residents in the High Care wing.

She came out with the classic "you don't know these people" after telling me the people on the same shift as her have a pact where they let each other know if a resident has a complaint about any of them. This is so they can go in and tackle said complaining resident and "set them straight". I was horrified and told her so and told her that was not only disrespectful but contravenes the charter of the company in how "we" care for our residents. She wasn't backing down, and then today >see the what made me laugh today thread<.

Mate you have every right to be horrified at that, that is crap behavior. It doesn't fit the legal definition of bullying but it fits the moral one.

I was hoping to get my car back, but the panel beater needs it until probably wednesday.

****. Evil or Very Mad

So I'm driving around in their courtesy car which is a glorified tonka toy. A frigging Honda Jazz. Sad FFS it's a toy, I barely fit in it and I'm sure I alone exceed the load limit. It's obviously designed to carry two anorexic girls, one of those little handbag dogs and a couple of bags of clothes shopping.

Sad

Can it squeeze in two handbag dogs?

...and they still charge an arm and a leg, it's a bloody rort! This one I don't mind paying for it's for one of the kids so I want to know it's as good as it looks, but basically any car that's an insurance write off, needs a VIV, even if the damage is minor but the high cost or rarity of parts puts them over the write off total, or in 1061 case, a complete prep and paint job, and stolen/recovered even if seemingly un damaged as is the case with this one. can see the point though, better to be safe than sorry, and it's good that you can no longer cut and shut cars, and this method of inspection helps police that.

Possibly, but I reckon if I put another 100kg person in the front with me it wouldn't be able to go up hill.

Nah, but the good thing about it is that if you can't find a parking spot you can pick it up and using a belt wear it like a back pack.
