Very under-rated band which unfortunately will always be remembered as 'one-hit wonders'.

Their second album is very, very good.

Nah, you would've loved the 80's. Big hair and bad fashion Laughing

It's called 'Listen'. Probably sold something like 12 copies back in the day, but there's some good stuff... they seem to have got a bit darker after the first album, which may have killed their chances of a second hit.

And even if you don't like the music... gotta love the hair! Laughing

Can't beat 'The Cult' or even try 'The Church' I personally like 'The Damned' Not sure if 'The Smiths' count as Goth...I like them as well. 'Joy Division were Goth and they later became New Order. Also David try a lesser known band called March Violets. They were around when i was younger but took no notice of them until now, and I love the Album The Botanic Verses.

Is seriously worth checking out. Emo is shit compared to Goth stuff.

Totally agree about the emo comment.

The Smiths aren't really goth... I don't know how you'd describe them though. Joy Division were amazing... but yeah looking at that list, there's a lot of bands I should look into.

Cheers guys Very Happy

I'm getting into what can vaguely be described as ambient/noise atm: Deerhunter, Tim Hecker, Sun O))) (yes that's the name!), Boris, Feeel, Caribou, Fantomas, and some stuff like that.

My brother has raved about them, and I think Fantomas as well? I don't mind some of it, but it's probably a little too experimental for my taste.
