Do you record the footy every week? if so what do you use to record with?

I record the Collingwood matches every week with our media centre I put together and was wondering what every one else uses now the days of the vcr are over.

my media centre usses a Compro videomate T750 hybrid-analogue/digital capture card, which I would recommend you avoid as it is a piece of crap, I tend to use only the s-video capture as the TV tuners are usless on the card.
I cap the s-vid @ 480x576 mpeg file then convert it to 576x368 Xvid files,
resulting files are far better than the ones I have pulled off the net.

My Media Centre specs:
XP pro running MediaPortal Open Source software ( http://www.team-mediaportal.com/ ) with many plugins enabled
P4-3ghz
512mb DDR 400 ram
Nvidia GeForce 6200 via S-video out
Compro videomate T750
PATA 160gig Hard drive
SATA 500gig Hard drive
100mbit Nic connected to my home network
Micro$oft MCE remote Control (excellent piece of hardware, cost only $50 and comes with 2 IR blaster ports)
All housed in a sweet Black Silverstone media centre case ( http://www.silverstonetek.com/products/p_contents.php?pno=lc17&area=usa )

the beauty of the media centre is the ability to have every game of footy on it that I can access with a click of a button, as well as our collection of DVD's.

If we win, I download them via torrents.
If we lose, who cares? Don't want to ever see those games again.

I'm like you, member.

I don't bother with a loss, but when we win, I usually wait for the replay and record it direct to DVD. That way, I just have to edit out the FOXTEL ads.

I download the torrents when we win. I can play them on the Xbox (1) via Xbox Media Centre. XBMC plays pretty much everything except for h236 (I think) files).

It's setup wirelessly, so I can stream from the computer to the TV without any cables.

Though, I'm thinking of building a HTPC down the track.

kewl, the mediaportal software started off life as xbmc I believe and the software still supports xbmc connections, from what I can gather with the new TVserver3 part of mediaportal you can stream tv from your htpc (with mediaportal) across your network to a xbox, allowing you to change channels etc on the xbox.

We have never talked about it before. Did you know that you can download your own chat robot and create your own robot personality? Are we still talking about XBMC plays everything except for h236 he or she think files? I like the way you talk. Who is your favorite Science Fiction author?

I haven't bought a record since 2003. Haven't filled one out since I was a kid in the 90's.
