Post subject: WHY ? | |
|
I have a quick query for everyone on Nicks:
Why do we seem to argue amongst ourselves ?
Surely everyone can be civil to each other and not get personal and learn to get along with each other. It seems so silly that we have petty arguments over cheersquads and other issues. Lets start actually supporting the club instead of finding ways to put people and the club down

It's called losing JLC.
Last time it flared up was during the Wizard cup.
The pessimists can't cope with the optimists.
The optimists can't cope with the pessimists.
The knockers can't cope with the wearers of rose coloured glasses.
The wearers of rose coloured glasses can't cope with the knockers.
The people who know the answers can't cope with people who know the answers.
The rest just can't cope.
We lose a few games and it all boils over. We'll win a few and it will go away - have patience.

Check your PM, Magpie Greg ... It will explain things from the perspective of one of the "pathologically delusional" ... and as I said in the message, feel free to quote from it if you like. That's up to you.

We all support the same team. we all want the same thing. There is a way to put a point across without getting personal and overly critical of the team or others. If we weren't fallible we would not be human. I criticise constructively and always look for the good in others or the team. I don't play footy with the boys, and none of us do, our passion comes from expecting the best. If i see the guys give their all and lose, then I am Happy. If they win and not give their all i am complacent.
When they win showing guts and determination, I'M EXCITED.
Love the team forget all the peety jostling with one another. When you dis respect others you are direspecting yourself.
GO PIES!!!!
If your not bleeding Black and White, you don't truly support Collingwood!!!!! |

I must admit that I'm amazed at the number of personal attacks that happen. Can't we just agree to disagree sometimes when there's a difference of opinion? Or if you feel strongly enough to comment on something that's been posted, can't we attack the opinion rather than the person? And then if you do have a problem with a person, mail them personally to deal with it?
Debate is a great thing, especially when it involves our wonderful Club but I don't think the name calling gets us or the Club anywhere. I'm the first to admit that I'm a walking optimist but I have no problem reading constructive criticism regardless of whether I agree with it or not.
And I agree Mike, it does seem to be worse when we lose! Here's hoping we can kick the Weagles arses this weekend and get back to the best topics of all - football, our boys and our mighty Club!
GO PIES!

the thing is when we lose theres people that come out with their rants and bag this person and that person..but when we win their totally silent..and at the football theres supposedly collingwood supporters who just bag our own players constantly..but when we do something good or win their totally silent..its those people that i cant stand!!
pure magic... |

... I think preconceived conceptions and misconceptions can be best blamed, MargOz. It mostly boils down to a storm in a tea cup.
I have never met a Collingwood barracker I did not like. There's just something about meeting one of the faithful.
Rule 1. Barrack for Collingwood
Rule 2. See rule 1.
Rule 3. There is no rule 3.

There are two types of Collingwood Supporters:
1. Those who freely admit barracking for Collingwood (we can call thses people the extraverts)
2. Then the other type are those people who are in denial and cannot show their true feelings (the introverts we can call these people)
Ill admit im an extravert. What is everyone else ??
I am the game, you don't wanna play me
I am control, no way you can change me
I am have heavy debts, no way you can pay me
I am the pain, and I know you can't take me
Look over your shoulder, ready to run
Like a good little bitch, from a smoking gun
I am the game, and I make the rules
So move on out, and you can die like a fool
Play the game, you're gonna be the same
You're gonna change your name, you're gonna die in flames
Hahahahaha
Time to play the game! |

I don't remember what time I got out of there, LOL. also I was so smashed that I gave wrong directions to the taxi driver, I ended up wandering around in the freezing cold trying to find my way back to the motel...LOL...then I got locked out of my room, my mate sleeps like a log, so he didn't hear me knocking. I had to go get the keys off the owner. got him out of bed and he wasn't happy...LOL. then I wake up the next day with the worst headache, hehe. but what a night!!!!
I'm meeting some people whom I'm going to the footy with this saturday, but I might drop into the cricketers....what time will you guys be there?
