Post subject: NO SMOKING | |

We can all head to pubs and clubs now and not worry about being suffocated and smoking forced on us. Smokers are in the minority and finally I will be able to see friends perform and not come out stinking and feel like I have just smoked a carton to myself. The ones who are whining that now won't go back to their bars and clubs. Great we don't need you there. Families and non smokers will be back in force like every other country the rule has been applied in the past.

Thank god
Although do the new laws include smoking in front of places? Have to walk through so much smoke going in and out of the footy, I can only imagine most places ending up like this, I know in NSW they will fine you if you smoke near an entrance |

Been 14 years since I had one of the poison sticks.
Very happy about that decision, and very happy that I can now enter pubs and clubs.
Just wish they would ban smoking outdoors and the world would be a wonderful place. |

Lol, I can beat that... never smoked a cigarette in my life.
Still, other people's cigarette smoke has never bothered me much. Maybe it wouldn't be too much to have small smoking sections within pubs? Seems harsh to kick them out in the cold, lol. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

they have smoking sections in pubs etc now. Other states have a law that says you have to be so many metres from the entrance of a pub/club etc, but i don't think that the victorian law went that far
but hey, i'm rapt with the ban (3 1/2 years clean!) _________________ Jacqui © Proud Pies 2003 and beyond |

The only venue you can smoke is Crown if you're rich enough.
Could not go and see many friends do gigs as the smoke just kills you. Now I can and already one venue I attend had more people than usual on a Sunday and the owner said they were all new people and non smokers and they brought more drinks and a wider range of drinks other than beer. They were suprised. |
