Didak should have known better of course.
I wouldn't be happy to see him traded or sacked from our club though.
Tarrant was enough, Didak is too important to my club at this stage. |

Lost a game then had a 10 day break. Most clubs let the team off the leash for a couple of days in this situation.
That the team then went on to spank the runners up of 2006 shows the club may have the right idea. |

If, but, maybe, perhaps; only this, only that; blown out of proportion; it's just the media"
It's time to stop finding excuses for stupid player behaviour. We've all heard a flipping million of them.
Going out on the turps during the season is not Premiership behaviour - refer 1990.
Hanging out in Melbourne's notorious King St nightclub precinct at a time when the AFL has it's hand on the suspend-badly-behaving-players button is nothing short of morose.
Staying out later than when your teammates decide to go home is arrogant at best.
Getting "intoxicated" when it's already caused you "Deep regret to my family and the club ..." less than 12 months ago and tainted winning the club's best and fairest is just insane.
Needing to go watch strippers when you could have any chick you like is inexplicable.
This is beyond a joke.
That trading Wasted Tallant hasn't got the message through these stupid footballer's skulls is the biggest concern. |

The club has the right idea because of an on field result?!
Turn it up. That just serves to highlight exactly what is wrong with many supporters - on field is all that counts.
I should think they should spank a very out-of-form Ducks with no Prick Davis and Hall not fit. Not to mention that the real Ducks obviously did not show up.
And why shouldn't they spank the Ducks when most of the players who won it were kids who haven't been around long enough to become junkies/drunks/morons yet!
And why shouldn't they spank the Ducks when they got spanked by the rabble that is the Ghosts, for the umpteenth time of late!
Regardless, yeah the club gives them 4 days in Hamilton Island and Mackay - where they are supposedly running clinics as ROLE MODELS for kids - and the following weekend off. So why do they need to get tanked that night when they were due on a plane first thing the next morning to start SEVEN DAYS BREAK!
Let's stop the flipping excuses! |

Yeah because only Carlton supporters have the sense to point out the critical culture flaws in our club.
Yeah only non-Magpies can criticise our club.
I'm a member.
Didak is either negligent in his obligation to represent our great club on and off the field, or he has a serious drinking problem.
He lives in Kew, there's a meeting tomorrow night, as illustrated.
Can't treat an addiction until you admit there is one. |

I don't think I've seen a post from you in the last 6 months, tonight you go beserk? |

You do realise this team you believe we were certainties to beat is actually the last years GF runner up? You also realise had they won they would have been 4th on the ladder? You also realise our best 3 players were missing, and 4 of our back 6?
You want to know WHY the real swans didnt show up? Because our relentless pressure and attack on both the man and the footy rattled them so much they couldn't gain any ascendancy.
And as for expecting kids to win it for us just because they are kids...do you even listen to yourself? |

The media will work a good dose of middle class moralism into the story. Outrage! A footballer drinking on his night off! Shock horror! - You're doing well mirroring them.
Quote: | It's time to stop finding excuses for stupid player behaviour. We've all heard a flipping million of them. |
And the club will deal with this sensibly and without hysteria.
Quote: | Going out on the turps during the season is not Premiership behaviour - refer 1990. |
Oh yeah? There were all sorts of curly things going on in the background around that time: in 1990, before 1990, and after 1990. Suffice to say the 1990 team were hardly a model of sobriety.
Quote: | Hanging out in Melbourne's notorious King St nightclub precinct at a time when the AFL has it's hand on the suspend-badly-behaving-players button is nothing short of morose. |
Apart from drinking too much what did he do? He didn't know who they guy was. he has showed poor alcohol fuelled judgement and little else. This doesn't compare to the West Coast scandals. And by the way morose means sad.
Quote: | Staying out later than when your teammates decide to go home is arrogant at best. |
Hyperbole! All it shows that alcohol affects his judgement. You are blowing this out of all proportion.
Quote: | Getting "intoxicated" when it's already caused you "Deep regret to my family and the club ..." less than 12 months ago and tainted winning the club's best and fairest is just insane. |
And the club will deal with this sensibly and proportionately. It doesn't need ejaculations of Patrick Smith/Caroline Wilsonesque hysteria blowing the issue out of its real proportion.
Quote: | Needing to go watch strippers when you could have any chick you like is inexplicable. |
And you know that this is the case do you? I hardly think he was there to get his rocks off.
Quote: | This is beyond a joke. |
This post certainly is!

No doubt Didak needs a talking to but that's as far as it goes. Compare this to Tarrant's latest at The Shockers. Tarrant lies to cover up, Didak comes forward and doesn't hide. Didak's is a very different case. And no doubt Alan will have to own his behaviour to the other players, which is fair enough.
What we don't need on this issue is hysterical knee jerk reactions such as the above. There'll be enough of that from the media shite shovelers tomorrow for sure. _________________ "Only the weak believe that what they do in battle is who they are as men" - Thomas Marshall - "Ironclad". |

Nice post RR.
And before anyone comes up with the "oh as if he didnt know who he was" line....who here can put their hand up (honestly) and say they had both heard of him, and would know him by sight...while pissed...prior to the manhunt?
Hell, the guy has been all over the news during the manhunt and ill wager that 80% of the public wouldn't have a clue what he looked like. Just like all the Americans on the Chaser the other week who thought Barack Obama was one of the 9/11 Terrorists. |
