Maybe but having been given a 'lift' by a couple of Angels a few years ago, they don't take no for an answer. I got taken round a whole lot of addresses I didnt want to go to before they let me out of the car. It was scary stuff!
Whilst I can relate to his situation, the heavy drinking at the night club prior to the lift from the Angels is something the club will have to talk him about.
Another thing is this may piss the Angels off towards Alan and that won't be good either...

Trade him before the AFL force us to suspend him indefinitely.

Footy show revelation sounds incredibly damning. Two strip clubs, too many drinks, accepted a lift from a fan who bought drinks, taken to a bikey club stating he had no choice. Driver of car was driving erratically and he was in the back seat of a two door car and felt uncomfortable about the driving. Sorry Alan but you are an adult a you have clearly made some poor choices. The alarm bell has rung loud and clear .....wake up!

Yeah let's go out to the strippers and get tanked all night.
What kind of £$%$ed up culture is embedded in our club? Clearly the public face and reality are completely different.
If nothing else, since when does 'Mad Monday' come twice a year in the middle of a potentially huge season?
If you cant handle the pressure of being in the public eye and getting to do what you love for a living, whilst being extremely well compensated, get off our list!

if he hadn't met up with this bloke who turned out 6 days later to be a killer, not one person would have even known he was out at a strip club .........and he wasn't the only one!

After all the nonsense in Darwin and the Wild West you would have thought professional senior players would have got the message by now that going out in public places and drinking to the extent it is alledged Didak did is not on.
It just goes to show that what a harmless nite out can end up like when you are a profile player out in certain establishments in the late hours when most people are in bed.
Didak can count himself very lucky indeed that his somewhat strange interpretation of our club player conduct rules did not result in him being in much more serious trouble or worse, him being hurt.
The issue here now is not so much Didak innocence by association, rather the message this sends to younger players and club sponsors. The AFL brand is already damaged enough by all these drama's.
Collingwood must now decide whether they want to really enforce player conduct rules or not? Show the other clubs that we won't tolerate it. The Collingwood brand is on the line here.
Gary Pert is an excellent CEO and our Board are the best around. I hope they demand a sanction on this one. Thankfully Didak is ok. That is the main thing.

Accountability demands transparency!
So who are you really?
There is a certain irrational tone in the above that is vaguely familiar...
PS: You're talking complete rubbish.

Watching the start of the footy show, they showed the press conference with Pert reading the statement and also showed an interview with a member of the Police.
My summary-
Didak went out to a strip club after losing to Melbourne - big deal
He was drinking heavily - dumb
He went to a different club a few doors down when his company left - not bright but he'd had a few.
He accepted a drink and started a conversation with someone he didn't know - yeah? probably a pleasant change from having tossers having a go at him
He accepted a ride home with soemone he'd just met - again, not bright but he'd had a few
The bloke he was talking with was the bloke who is alleged to have shot 3 people less than 2 weeks later and is also alleged to be involved in strafing a warehouse where no one was injured. - Both instances were after he met this bloke. Bloodygood luck he didn't piss him off by the sounds of it.
he's cooperating with the police and the police said he is not going to be charged.
So basically, the only thing he's done wrong is staying out later than he should have, drinkin more than he should have and talking to/accepting a lift from someone he didn't know. For an AFL footballer, positively mild night.

oh that's alright stui, yeah there's nothing to worry about, nobody is accountable when "they've had a few". yeah drinking is just like pressing a pause button on our lives. We all take one drink and all of a sudden we're not a responsible member of society, yeah, no problems.
"For an AFL footballer"
That caveat says it all about your summary stui. What they are not expected to be responsible members of society like everyone else? Do special rules apply for them?

Can I ask why they would even consider suspending him?
I'm calling you to account, a little justification for your posts.
