Crowded House details tour
June 25, 2007 12:00am
RE-FORMED rock band Crowded House has announced its first Australian tour in a decade. Award-winning Melbourne band Augie March will support.
Crowded House will play at Rod Laver Arena on November 8, with tickets on sale from July 6.
The band has also kept tickets at a retro price - $89.10 across the board.
Crowded House, which released new album Time on Earth on Saturday, has played at a handful of shows overseas, including the Coachella Festival in Palm Springs in April.
Drummer Matt Sherrod has replaced Paul Hester, who died in March 2005.
Sherrod joins Neil Finn, Nick Seymour and Mark Hart in a line-up the band is calling "the new, improved Crowded House".
Its first Australian show is at the Live Earth concert in Sydney on July 7.
"We've had a taster of the tour bus and we're really enjoying each other's company, and having a great time actually," Finn said.
In their heyday the band was renowned for its on-stage banter.
