Good read. I enjoy not only playing but watching the local leagues.
Canberra has its own senior comp, but we also have a lower-skilled 'country' league, which I played in last season, which involves smaller suburbs and country towns around Canberra. It's probably the lowest standard of football in Australia, and yet you still get hard at the ball play, big marks, nice goals and good one-on-one contests. _________________ "Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence." – Julian Assange |

If my eyes were just a little less shite then I would play AFL locally for sure, I was a decent little rover in my youth.
Then during one night game in my 3rd season i remember standing under a pass from a mate and realising that I had absolutely no idea where the ball was.
Didn´t hang around too long after that! lol _________________ I would be ashamed to admit that I had risen from the ranks. When I rise it will be with the ranks... - Eugene Debs |
