When I was running Winblows, even though my o/s was legit, I did run pirate versions of Office, M$Publisher and the like.
Now that I'm wholly and solely Ubuntu, I don't have the need to run pirate software as all my software is open source, and most importantly, free.

Firstly, I don't download them, so it really has nothing to do with this thread, and secondly, what if I am?
That should be as much of a concern to you as, say, creating a new account after your previous one was banned!

Sorry to have touched such a raw nerve Dale.
The thread is about piracy. I took it to mean all misuse of copyrighted material. You decided that the thread was about Microsoft. I just pointed out that none of us are innocent in this regard.
You took offense.

Yes, the thread is about internet piracy, and I was pointing out that since I no longer use M$, I don't have the need, or desire, to continue with the use of pirated software. Where can most of the pirated M$ software be sourced?
It was you that bought up the misuse of copyrighted material, or the breach of regulations, so I just threw it back at you. And to think I was on your side in regards to your initial banning!

I used to download some music, I've since bought a heap of CDs that's about all my 'piracy' entails. I have my personal copies of a couple of DVDs I watch the most so that I do not wear out the original copy, but that is not internet piracy and isn't a concern to this thread.
All my Mircosoft programs are programs I bought when I got the new copy the last time, there's nothing illegal on my computer
