I don't have any legitimate nieces or nephews yet. I do consider my partner's brothers kids to be like nieces and nephews, but my brother's getting married next year so I'm hoping it won't be too long before they have kids that I can spoil and babysit!

Episode 31

One Year Later:

The boys had been knocked out of the finals early this time around and Mel had finally given birth to the newest Shaw just over 3 months ago. On top of that Bucks, Jimmy and much to the surprise of many Licca had retired. The season had certainly taken its toll on the boys this year.
As they got further into the year Heath’s form had tapered off a lot. He was getting so tired. Mel had been getting quite ill towards the end of her pregnancy and poor Heath was up and about whenever she was, he told her he would be and he kept his word, but to his credit he never used it as an excuse and he always put in 100%, it was just he wasn’t getting as much out of himself as at the start of the year. He just couldn’t wait for the birth and the season to end.
When the time finally did come, Heath didn’t miss a minute. He was in awe of what he had witnessed. He held Mel’s hand, talked to her and copped her abuse, but it was all worth it. As soon as the baby was born Heath cried. He was finally a daddy!!!

“I’m sure we can find something of that description” Tina said, “Now are we looking at rings, necklaces, earrings?”
Alan looked at her, he hadn’t even thought about that. He wasn’t sure if he was ready for a ring commitment, but he wasn’t sure that he wasn’t either. He just didn’t know. He told Tina he would look at everything. If it happened to be a ring he loved and thought she would, then he would take that as a sign.
Tina stepped out of the office and came back after 15 minutes with two trays of jewellery. She sat it on the table and it didn’t even take him 5 seconds to decide what he wanted. He saw it and it was it!
“I’ll have that one. Wrap it up” Alan said to Tina
“Are you sure? I mean I have other pieces out there and here also” she replied
“No I want that thank you” Alan said
Tina nodded and left the office and Alan followed her out this time and went to the register and paid for his item. He thanked Tina for her help and she said good luck and Alan walked out. He jumped in his car and headed home, he smiled the whole way. Now all he had to do was organise dinner – did he cook or did he take her out. If they went out he needed to make reservations and he needed to do it now. He hummed and ha’d about it half the way home and decided going out was far more romantic than his cooking. So he rang around a few places and managed to wiggle his way into Dolce. He made a couple more stops on the way and he was well and truly organised by the time he got home.
He ran inside and did what he needed to and within the hour he had left again. He headed over to Nick’s for a beer until it was time to head out again. He just hoped that tonight would run smoothly and there would be no hiccups.

Yadie had just had the shittest day at work you could imagine and on top of that she hadn’t heard from Alan all day, and of all the days not to hear from him – their anniversary.
She had been tempted to call him but she thought best of it and would wait and see if he remembered at all. She decided to give him until 7 o’clock tonight. She got in her car and headed for home. She pulled in the driveway and looked at the clock – it was 6 and Alan wasn’t even home yet. She was feeling beyond disappointed now. She headed to the front door and opened it and walked inside.
The floor was scattered with rose petals and arrows pointing to the bedroom. She walked in and closed the door and she let out a shriek. She followed the arrows to the bedroom and there on the bed was a huge box with her name on it. She ran over to it and opened it up and started crying. There lying inside the box was the most gorgeous cocktail dress she had laid eyes on, and there was a note attached:

Danni told him she would be there in about 20 mins; he hung up the phone and went to the kitchen to see what he had or what he could do, making a romantic dinner wasn’t really his thing. He sat down at the bench and flicked thru his recipe books for some ideas. He didn’t even realise he had recipe books till he had a look. He wasn’t really paying attention and Danni walked in and startled him when she said hi.

“Oh shit sorry I didn’t even hear you knocking” he said to her
“I thought as much. Now what you got in mind” she replied laughing
“I have no idea at all. I don’t make food all that much, I just eat it” he said grinning
Danni laughed at him again “Well at least your having a go. Do you know what Em’s favourite dish is?”
“Umm well she likes stir fry, spaghetti and roasts” he said
Danni said that the roast was the better out of the 3 dishes he mentioned. He looked at her as if to say the other 2 would be easier to make.
“It’s not about how easy it is” she said as if reading his mind, “It’s the thought that counts and the effort, if you cook the roast you will look so much better” she added laughing
Dale stopped and thought about it “Well then, where do I start and what do I do?”

Danni laughed at him some more – if you ever needed laughs all you had to do was find Dale. She was giving him some instructions and pointers when her phone rung. While she was talking on the phone Dale was writing down everything she had just told him. She got off the phone and said she had to go and he was on his own, but if he had any problems then all he had to do was ring and she would see what she could do.
“Thanks Danni I appreciate it” he said and Danni left
He took out the veges and started preparing them. He went to the freezer and looked for the beef he thought he had in there. He pulled out everything but there was no beef. He turned off the oven and headed out to the supermarket, he needed a roast!

Em was so bored. She was having a really boring day at work and she still had at least an hour to go before she could go home. She sent Dale a message and asked him what he was doing. He told her he was lounging around waiting for her to get home. She said she couldn’t wait either. She was bored and just wanted to go home. He told her he would be waiting.
‘God could time go any bloody slower’ she said to herself.
She went back into the storeroom and started unpacking the new boxes of shoes, shirts and socks that needed to be put out on the shop floor. She pulled out the new range of Collingwood jerseys and shirts and it made her think of the season ahead. She couldn’t wait. The preseason comp was only around the corner and the 2008 season would begin.
She potted around for an hour and then looked at her watch.
“Whoo Hoo!” she yelled
She went and seen her boss ad she said she could go. She grabbed her bag and headed to the train station. She sent Dale a text to say she was on her way home and she would see him soon.

Dale was answering his message when he saw veges start to boil over. He sent it off and ran back to the stove and turned the heat down and checked on the meat. He smiled; he liked what he saw. He was impressed with what he had done. He left the kitchen and went and set the table. He laid out glasses and cutlery and even added flowers to the middle of the table. He went and checked everything again and then ran into his bedroom and got changed. On his way back to the kitchen he went to his chest of drawers and grabbed something out and then went back to check on dinner.
He was satisfied it was almost done so he sent Em a message to find out how long she would be. She said she was about 15 minutes away. He went and turned off the lights and only turned on the lounge room lamp and lit the candles on the table. He went and started to organise dinner when he heard Em with her keys at the door, so he walked out to it.
Em opened the door and was surprised to find Dale standing there.
“Hi” she said
“Hi” he replied
He took her bag off her and put it on the hat stand and kissed her. He parted from her and she looked into his eyes.
“What’s all this about?” she asked him
“Nothing” he said taking her hand and he lead her to the dining room, “Now sit here and I’ll be back in a minute”
Em watched him walk away and she was now beaming. She had no idea what was going on and she was intrigued to say the least.
Dale walked back out with two bottles of wine “It’s your choice” he said standing next to her
Em chose the white. She didn’t know what she was eating but she went with the white anyway.
Dale poured them both a glass and then went back into the kitchen. He was gone for a little while and just as Em was about to get up and see where he was, Dale walked out with dinner.
“Wow!” Em said, “What did I do to deserve this?”
“Nothing. You deserve it anyway and you should have had it more often” he replied setting her plate down.
He went and sat down himself and then proposed a toast. They lifted their glasses:
‘To us! Here’s to many more wonderful memories’
Em felt a tear well in her eye and she wiped it away quickly. Hey sat there talking and laughing whole they ate and were just acting like they had just got together – a time when they were so happy.
“My god Dale, this is beautiful” she said after finishing a mouthful
“I’m glad. Danni gave me some pointers” he laughed, “Otherwise I have a feeling we’d be eating charcoal”
“Well then I think I owe Danni a thank you too” Em laughed
They finished eating and Dale got up and again and told Em to stay put and he took their plates out.
He came back out 5 mins later with two huge ice cream sundaes. He put Em’s down and went and sat down. He looked up and looked at Em.
“Oh my god!” she shrieked

Episode 32

The town car stopped and the driver opened the door and helped her out. He handed her an envelope and got back in the car and drove off leaving Yadie on her own. She opened the envelope and took out the piece of paper and read it”
‘Go into Dolce and ask to be seated on the Didak table and wait’
She put it back in the envelope and walked inside.
“Hi I’m here for a reservation for Didak” she said to the hostess
‘Ah yes. Follow me please” she said
Yadie followed her to the most private and secluded area in the restaurant.
“Just step inside and take a seat and someone will be with you shortly” the hostess said and walked away.
Yadie took a breath and pulled the curtain open and gasped.
“Oh my god!” she said
Alan stood up and looked so handsome in a suit and walked over to her “Happy Anniversary babe” he said and kissed her.
Yadie wiped the few tears she had rolling down her cheeks away.
“Alan this is amazing” she sniffled, “Did you do all this for me?”
“Yes I did. You deserve it. You have been amazing to me this past year” he said taking hold of her hand and took her to be seated at the table.
“You have really outdone yourself baby. This is amazing” she said smiling

They sat down and talked while they ate. When they had finished dinner, Alan ordered desert and he moved closer to Yadie and slipped his arm around her waist and pulled her to him. After about 10 mins Alan came back into the booth and was acting all fidgety.

“I know it’s not a ring, but this was the most beautiful piece of jewellery I saw on display and I knew you had to have it” he said
He stood up and put the necklace around Yadie’s neck and kissed her as well. Yadie stood up and turned to face him.
“This is so beautiful. I am so lucky. I don’t care if it’s not a ring. I don’t need a ring, I’ve already got you” she cried
Alan picked her up and hugged her so tightly.
“Lets go home” he said
Yadie just nodded and picked up her bag and they paid and left.

The two of them had got themselves into such a happy place right now, and they had just moved into the next phase of their relationship.

This only made the night even more special, Dale had cooked her her favourite meal and now given her a key to his house.
“I hope you enjoyed your evening” Dale asked smiling
“I can only think of one thing that would make it better” Em replied standing up and walking to him.

“The feeling is mutual” Dale replied and he picked her up and took her to the bedroom.

“Mum, it’s alright, we have things under control. We are just taking out time. We want it to be perfect” Nick said to her.
Danni just smiled.
They walked into the dining room and Mrs Maxwell noticed all the brochures on the floor.
“Yes I can see that” she said looking at the pair of them.
Nick and Danni looked at each other, they had just given his mother all the ammunition she needed to stay and help them.
Mrs Maxwell picked up some of the brochures and looked over them. She shook her head.
“No, no these wont do. We will have to do something about this” she said
“Would you like a coffee?” Danni asked
Mrs Maxwell nodded and Danni disappeared into the kitchen to make coffees. Nick followed her a few minutes later. Danni spun around and looked at him.
“What am I gonna do? I told mum no! I can’t have your mum helping out and not mine” she said
“I know. I didn’t know she would want to help you know” Nick said grabbing her waist.
After a few minutes Mrs Maxwell came into the kitchen and coughed to announce she was there.
“Sorry mum, we were coming now” he said handing her a cup
“Is everything ok?” she asked
“Yeah its fine” Nick said, “Lets go into the dining room”
“I’m just going to call mum. See if she wants to come around and help as well” Danni said and went into the lounge room.
Nick chatted with his mum and asked how long she was planning to stay. She told him a few days, she just didn’t want to drive up and back from Geelong everyday.

Danni came back into the dining room and sat down with Nick and his mum.
“Is your mum coming over?” Nick asked
“Yeah she’ll be here in about 20 minutes or so” Danni replied
They sat around the table discussing menus and then the doorbell rang and Danni got up to answer it.
“Hey mum, come in. You want a coffee?” Danni asked
“Yeah I’d love one” her mum said
They walked into the dining room and Danni went and made her coffee. She came back and sat down.
“Now what are we looking at here?” Mrs Maxwell said, “Do you want the wedding after the season has ended?”
Danni looked up “Well you know we haven’t really discussed it. We were only just getting into it tonight” she said
“Well after the season seems like the best time, they can have their honeymoon too” Jill said
Danni sat there in a world of her own; she wasn’t interested in listening to anymore of what their mothers were saying. They were doing her head in. She looked over at Nick who looked like he wasn’t interested either. She stared at him and then ran her foot up his leg and rested it between his legs. He responded – she could feel it. Now all they had to do was get rid of their mothers!!

Episode 33

Em was bouncing around her place all morning. She was so excited about last night. Dale had given her a key to his place; she certainly didn’t expect that. Dale had training this morning so Em went home and she invited all the girls to breakfast. They said they’d love to catch up and agreed to meet at the Brighton.
Em got there first and found a table big enough for all of them, plus the pram for Mel. She was excited, it had been a while since they ad all gone out together. She missed it, just like she was sure they did too.

Yadie and Danni walked thru the door and Em waved at them. Yadie seemed to also have a bounce in her step this morning, and Danni looked like she hadn’t slept.
“Morning girls” Em said
“Hey” they replied in unison
Mel walked over with her pram and the girls could hear Jackson starting to cry.
“Oh is he ok? Danni asked as Mel sat down
“Yeah he just wants his dad I suspect” Mel giggled, “Or he is hungry”
The girls smiled and the last of them arrived.
Ash and Bianca were just beaming. They sat down and they all chatted amongst themselves and Em stood up and called the waiter over. They ordered their drinks and breakfast and Em remained standing.
“Well its been a while since we’ve all hung out, and now footy season is upon us, I think we should again start seeing each other more regularly” she said
The girls all nodded.
“Now because I haven’t seen you all and vice versa, I’m sure we all some form of news to share with everyone. So I will go first” she said clapping her hands with excitement, “Last night Dale cooked dinner for me with a lot of help from Danni – thanks girl, it was beautiful!”
Danni nodded and smiled.
“But he also gave me a key to his house!” she yelled out
“That’s awesome Em! Congrats man!” Ash said
“Well since we are on the subject of giving” Yadie started, “Yesterday it was mine and Al’s anniversary and he gave me this” she said pointing and showing off her necklace
“Oh my god, that is beautiful” Mel said
“Your so bloody spoilt” Bianca added
Yadie told them that wasn’t all he did and continued about the dress, shoes, car and the dinner even.
“I’m so freaken jealous!” Ash said, “Why do I never get the guys who would do that for me?”
“In time it will happen” Danni said
“How are your wedding plans coming?” Yadie asked
Danni frowned a little and then started laughing. She told the girls about last night and they all laughed too.
“Why don’t you tell Nick you want to elope?” Em said, “That’s what I want to do, then there’s no fuss!!”
The girls looked at Em with a disappointed look on their faces.
“How are we meant to be bridesmaids then?” Mel snickered

Their breakfasts were bought out an Ash decided it was her turn.
“Please don’t hate me for what I’m about to say girls” she said
They all looked at her strange and Jackson let out a squeal.
“Shh you” Mel said laughing, “Now why would we hate you, spit it out”
She old them all about her night with Travis and the reason it had happened was because Billy had cheated on her, and that was the reason she had been avoiding the Lexus Centre. When the said they couldn’t hate her for that as they had all pretty much done it themselves, she said it wasn’t it.
“I got back together with Billy” she said
The girls’ faces went blank; no one said anything. Ash knew what they were thinking though. She could tell by the looks on their faces.
“He makes me laugh and happy. I know what you all think – that I’m stupid, but he apologised and said it was a one off thing” she tried to explain
Danni cleared her throat “Well if he makes you happy, then who are we to judge” she said looking at the other girls
They all agreed and that put a smile back on Ash’s face, whether they meant it or not was another thing.
“So what you been up to B, Mel? What has been going on with you guys?” Em asked
“Well I’m pretty sure you guys know what I’ve been doing” Mel laughed
She told them how much fun it had been and how great Heath was with him.
“He’s everything I thought he would be and more” she said
“That’s wonderful Mel. I just hope Alan can take lessons from him” Yadie said
Everyone’s ears pricked up and looked at her.
“Are you?” Danni asked
“No! I was just saying” Yadie replied
The girls smiled.
“Well Bianca, what have you and Scott been up to?” Yadie asked changing the subject
“Nothing out of the ordinary, just you know the normal couple things” she said
“So no exciting news, nothing?” Danni asked
“Well not unless you count hot sex as exciting” Bianca laughed
“Well I would say that counts” Ash yelled excitedly, “At least your getting some”
“You’re not sleeping with Billy yet Ash?” Danni asked
She shook her head “No we aren’t there yet. We are just taking things slowly you know”
They nodded and could understand why.
“But I’m hoping when it happens, it’s gonna be worth the wait” she adding laughing

They sat around drinking coffee for about an hour before Mel said he had better go. Jackson needed a feed and also a nap. They said goodbye and all commented on how gorgeous they thought Jackson was. Mel knew they all thought as much, but after she left they just cooed over him. Yadie especially. She seemed so clucky.
“Dude what is with you today? You are like all whoo over the baby thing” Danni said
“No I’m fine. I’m just like – it’s an amazing thing and I can’t wait to be a mother”
Danni patted her back and slowly the girls got up and left, but they all promised they would do it again soon.
Em was the last to leave and she headed to the Lexus Centre. She wanted to see if Dale could get away for lunch.

Ash was surprised at how well the girls took her news of being back with Billy. She was on her way to see him when she spotted Travis and Scott walking back to the Lexus. She tried to ignore them, not that she wanted to ignore Scott, but he would have understood. She got closer to them and Travis called out.
“Hey Ash! How have you been?” he said
She didn’t really want to be rude, but she didn’t want to talk to him either.
“Hi Travis. I’m good thanks” she said
Scott looked at her and smiled. He knew how hard that was for her to do.
“Well nice to see you guys, but I have to get going” she said and walked away
Travis tried to follow her but she told him she didn’t want to see him again, she was seeing someone. He looked really disappointed and tried to get out of her who it was but she kept walking and didn’t say a word. She didn’t turn around when he kept asking her, and he watched her walk into Olympic Park.
“You’re kidding me?” he said out loud
He walked back to Scott and asked him if he knew who Ash was seeing.
“Nah man sorry. I didn’t even know she was” Scott said and kept walking

Ash walked in the gates and sat down in the stand and watched the boys messing around on the field until Bellamy came on the ground. Billy saw Ash and waved at her, she waved back and she had a surge of happiness fill her.
She sat in the stands watching for about an hour and a half and she went to the fence when they’d finished and Billy came over to her and gave her a kiss.
“Hey, I dint expect to see you here today?” he said
“I thought I would surprise you” she replied
“Well you did. I’m glad you came” he said, “You wanna get a drink tonight?”
“Yeah I’d love to” Ash said
Billy told her he would pick her up at 7 and they’d go out. She said she’d see him then and he took off to the change rooms and she left training.

Yadie and Danni spent the day together. Danni really didn’t want to go home and face Nick’s mum. It was doing her head in.
“I know she only want to help, but my god!” Danni said
“Does Nick know this?” Yadie asked
“Yeah I mean I even had to invite my mum over so she could have some input, cause if she knew his mum was helping me I’d never hear the end of it” Danni said
“God mate, I reckon that idea of eloping sounds even better now” Yadie chuckled
“Tell me about it. But I couldn’t do that, I want all my friends there and I’m pretty sure Nick does too!” Danni said
Yadie nodded “Yeah I wouldn’t want to miss it mate. So that idea really is out of the question”
Danni laughed and the girls continued shopping and chatting for hours. They walked past a bridal shop and Yadie tapped Danni on the shoulder and laughed.
“C’mon, lets go and have some fun” she said pulling Danni inside.
Within seconds they had 4 sale assistants around them.
“Must be a slow day” Danni chuckled.
Yadie smiled and nodded.
“Can we be of any assistance ladies?” one of them asked
“No we are just looking thank you” Danni said and the girls walked over to the racks of dresses and started looking thru them.
All of a sudden Danni felt a wave of excitement shoot thru her, and even more so when she found a dress she liked.
Yadie could see it in her face as well “mate, maybe you should try and get Nick to get married in the split round? I mean no one would expect it and you could like still plan it with yours mums but book what you need earlier. They wouldn’t even know” Yadie said
Danni smiled “That could work, I guess I’d just have to get Nick to agree”
With that Danni said she needed to go and see him now. She wanted to start the process straight away. Yadie told her to go! She was going to head home anyway.
They gave each other a hug and Yadie told her she wanted to know what Nick said. Danni told her she’d be the first to know.
Danni took off out of the shop and raced to her car and headed to the Lexus Centre, on her way there her phone rung. She looked at it and it was her mum.
“Hey what’s up” she said
“Not much, just wanted to know what time you planned on being home? We have some really good ideas that we have come up with today!” her mum said
“Shouldn’t be long. I’m just heading to see Nick and I should be home after that” Danni replied and they hung up.
‘Oh god Nick, I hope you go for this’ she thought

She pulled into the Olympic Park car park and walked over to the Lexus. She stopped into the shop and did a quick check of the store. Everything was looking good, she told them she’d see them tomorrow and went into reception.
Peta knew why she was there and was already beeping Nick.
“You’re a legend” Danni said as Peta put the phone down.
“You know it! He should be out in a couple of minutes. Gav said he’s just finishing his weight session” she said
“Cool. Thanks. I’ll be in the shop” Danni said.
She walked back in the shop and grabbed out her folder and made some notes, checked up on orders and sent emails. She finished all of that as Nick wandered in to see her.
“Hey you!” he said giving her a kiss, he was all sweaty, “What’s up? Everything ok?” he asked
“Yeah. Can we talk somewhere?” Danni asked
“Of course. What’s up?” he said looking a little concerned
Danni walked in the café and Nick followed her. She looked over at him and saw his face.
“It’s nothing bad! I can see your face!” she laughed
“Thank god! I hate it when the words ‘can we talk’ come up” he said looking relieved
They sat down and Danni told him what she and Yadie had done today, and they even went into a bridal shop and the phone call from her mum.
“So Yadie suggested we do it then. I wasn’t sure at first, but the more I thought about it, I liked it” Danni smiled
Nick sat there and gave her one of her cute smiles and listened to what she had just said.
“Baby if that’s what you want, then that’s what we will do” he said finally
“Really?” Danni beamed
Nick nodded “Yep I wouldn’t want it any other way, and the sooner I get to call you my wife, the better. I want you to be happy. And seeing you talk about it just then made me see just how happy it would make you”
Danni jumped up and went and sat in his lap and gave him a great big hug and kiss.
“Your amazing! Now you better get back in there and I had better go and see what those two have come up with” she said
They stood up and he kissed her again and said he’d see her later and walked back inside and Danni went home.

She walked inside and all she could hear was chatting. She hadn’t even seen them and they were already driving her nuts.
“Danni is that you?” he mum called out
“Yeah” she said as she walked into the dining room
“Good. Glad your home. Now sit down and we can go thru what we have discussed today” Mrs Maxwell said
“Sure, just let me get a drink and I’m all yours” she said and went into the kitchen
All she was thinking was this was going to be the death of her, but all she had to do was think she would be getting married sooner rather than later.

Bianca walked out of her office and looked around for Scott. She was done for the day and she wanted to tell him she was going home. She couldn’t see him so she left a message on his phone. She got her bag and left for the day. She had no idea what she was going to do for the rest of the day now. Normally it was Scott who finished first and he would hang out at the club and wait for her – cause he could do extra work outs or work on his game plans. Bianca didn’t have any of this to do. She had no idea when he would be done so she decided to go and do some shopping. While she was darting in and out of shops she had a thought, ‘how could she not know what to do with herself’ she went months without a man and always had plenty to do, and now she didn’t. She couldn’t believe it.

She went into starbucks and ordered a coffee and she heard someone call her name.
“Bianca”
She turned around and turned straight back when she seen who it was, she hoped he hadn’t seen her look at him.
“Bianca, I know you saw me” he said
‘Shit shit shit” she said softly
The waiter handed her her coffee and that meant she would have to turn back around.
She turned around and he was standing right in front of her.
“Now you have to talk to me” he said
“If I have too! What do you want Chris?” Why are you even here?” she said sounding pissed off
“I’m here for our game next week and I have friends and family here too remember, oh and I am allowed to be’ Chris said
“That’s nice. I don’t care. Why did you even talk to me?” Bianca said, “I don’t even know why I am talking to you” and she went to walk away
Chris stopped her and asked her to sit and talk to him. He told her he missed her and all he wanted to do was talk.
Bianca said she couldn’t. She had somewhere she needed to be. Chris didn’t believe her. She seemed to forget he knew her inside and out, they had been together for 3 years, and they did go thru a lot together.
He may not have been the best boyfriend in the world, but he did remember a lot and paid more attention to Bianca than she obviously realised.
“I know you don’t have anywhere to be. Please stay and talk. That’s all I want, I promise” he said
Bianca tried so hard to resist. She didn’t want to sit and talk. She knew she still had a weak spot for him, he had never looked as good as he was right now in front of her, or maybe that was just because she hadn’t seen him for a while.
“Fine, but not for long. I’m meeting Scott in an hour” she said, making sure she still got Scott’s name in there.
“So your still seeing him are you? Good for you!” he said sarcastically
“I don’t need your sarcasm Chris. I am actually in a very happy place right now” she snapped back
She took a seat and Chris sat down right next to her. She could smell his aftershave and it bought back so many memories, including the last time she had seen him.
“You know you could have sat in a different seat” Bianca said moving her chair around a little
“Yeah I know” he said smiling
‘God damn it Chris what are you trying to do’ she thought to herself.

Bianca sat there and listened to Chris and would just talk a little every now and then. He was mainly bagging Freo and saying how much he missed it in Melbourne.
After about half and hour Bianca interrupted him and said she had to go. Chris looked a little disappointed and so he asked if he could see her again before he left next week and she said it wasn’t a good idea. She thanked him for the talk and wished him luck for the game and the season and stood up.
Chris stood up as well and he tried to give her a hug but she pulled away and looked at him and said it was a bad idea, she knew she wouldn’t be able to make herself stop hugging him, so while she was talking to him, he leant in a kissed her instead, which took her by surprise. But by far the worst thing was she let herself kiss him back and she was so tempted to give in to her desires and then she freaked out and pulled away.
She looked down at her feet and then back up at Chris and she gave him an almighty slap across his face.
“How dare you! Stay away from me!” she yelled and ran out of the coffee shop.
She made it to her car and sat there and cried. She couldn’t believe she had just let herself kiss him or that he would even try to do that. She thought she was over Chris. She had moved on. She was with Scott and she loved Scott.
She sat there for over an hour and cried before her phone rang. Without hesitation she answered it.
“Hello” she cried into the phone
“B what’s wrong? Why are you crying?”
“Shit. Scott. I’m sorry. I’m ok. I’m just having a girly moment” she said trying to stop, “I’ll be fine I promise”
“Are you sure? I’ve heard your girly moments before and this doesn’t sound like one” Scott said
“Honestly I’m ok. Now what do I owe this phone call?” she said trying to reassure him
She could tell by him constantly asking that he didn’t believe her. She really didn’t know whether to tell Scott about Chris or not.
“I thought I would ring cause I just got your message. What you wanna do tonight?” he asked
“I got nothing on, so whatever you want. You wanna come to mine or yours?” she said sniffling
“I think I’ll come to yours for a change. You sound like you need some Scotty loving” he said laughing
Bianca tried to laugh and managed a little one and she told Scott she would see him later.

As soon as she hung up the phone with Scott she rang Mel and told her what happened with Chris just then and asked her if she should tell Scott.
“Well if it was me I would be. Especially after the last time you saw him. I can’t believe he did that” Mel said
“I know. I tried so hard Mel, but my god he is so tempting, and no matter what I can’t resist” Bianca replied crying again
“Yeah I know mate. He is sex on legs! But you need to tell him. You don’t want it to come back and bite you on the ass” Mel said
Bianca thanked her for her help yet again and hung up.
She dried her eyes and headed home. This was going to be an interesting night.
