Miracle attributed to the Blessing of the Scarves

I think the Vatican should be informed about this promptly ... so, St.Eddie, if you're reading this .... maybe you could put in a word for us.

Today there was a channel 9 TV shoot at the M.C.G. involving several Cheer Squad members.

On the way home, a car driven by Lesley, with Joffa in the back seat, and myself in the front seat, was polaxed from behind by a 5 tonne van with a bloody great bullbar on the front, travelling at death defying speed along Wellington Parade, Jolimont.

As my life flashed before my eyes I could only think, "Why am I still alive?"

Amazingly, no injuries were sustained. For a while I feared that I might have neck injuries. Lesley and Joffa insisted I go to St.Vincent Hospital for a check-up. I did so, and X-Rays revealed no problems.

But the question must be asked ... how could such a terrifying event leave no one even scratched?

The answer is clear to anyone who attended family day last Sunday.

It was The Scarves

It's gotta be ... There were two of my blessed scarves in the boot of the car ... and I think Lesley might have had one as well.

Scary stuff i guess, but the main thing is that no one was hurt we were probably lucky the car we were in was a BMW as a result of the smash the car has been 'written off' and to make it more incredible it was a wake up time for me as i didnt have my seatbelt on...so everyone BUCKLE UP i will from now on.

Mr gold wig was trapped in the boot...LOL the jaws of life umm a crowbar realeased him from the wreck several hours after the accident....PEOPLE mr gold wig aint lookin too good at present!!

Joffa! Mr Gold Wig could have been scalped in an accident of such a nature - no seat belt, what were you thinking to stuff the good Mr Gold Wig in the boot?

As the Chief Inspection Officer of the Royal Society of the Protection of Cruelty to Gold Wigs (RSPCGW) I believe there will be a surprise inspection of Mr Gold Wigs living conditions.

Mr Gold Wig may I suggest that you take a Bex, lie down and have Joffa read you a story, perhaps "Collingwood at Victoria Park". I am predicting you will have a busy season 2002 and we need to see you in all your shining glory come the 28th March. (Don't worry about the Gold Jacket as the wig is always on top!)
