Guys, my 14yr old cousin lost his battle with leukaemia yesterday. I would like to acknowledge all those that have helped raise money to help find a cure and I hope that they continue to do so.

Thanks.

Childhood leukemia is such a devastating disease for everybody in the family, with every remission bringing hope and each relapse dashing it. I honestly can't even begin to understand how parents can survive losing their children, especially losing them to cancer - it's just not fair.

My sincerest condolances to you and yours Joel.

Hearing news like that puts my own petty problems into some sort of perspective. It's all too easy to take life for granted.

Very sad, Joel ... beyond words.

Joel,

My deepest sympathies, condolences & prayers to you and your extended family. My extended family lost a 3 y.o. cousin a few years ago to a rare condition (which she was born with). Although we knew very early on that her condition was terminal and life expectancy short, it did little to lessen the shock & the grief.
