Seriously, I dont think anyone gave up. We were just outplayed in areas of the game during the second half. No-one has mentioned this bit I thought Goldsack showed us plenty in his debut game. Good composure.

The difference was we were 25 points up. Then kick 3 behinds in a row. Doggies restart each time and kick a goal from those movements. So then all of a sudden Dogs are 7 points down tails up and running hard. That my friends was the difference. If we had of slotted another after 25 that may well have taken the sails out. As I said in pre match. We need to kick accurately or we would lose. And we did.

Nuff said

Next Please.

Dave, i personally think no one gave up. The Dogs were sensational and like we did in the first half to them, they out ran, out muscelled and out played us.

We seemed a little slow and that was enough for the pace of the Dogs to step over us. We played some brilliant footy for 2 and a half quarters. I'd take that loss today over any other loss. It wasnt that we played bad footy, it was we were beaten on the day.

One negative for the day was once again our accuracy on goal. We were a bit stiff, hitting the post 4 times. But we should be slotting them 99% of the time.

Basically i dont think anything much changed except the accuracy in front of goal.

11-7 for the first half was fine....3-11 for the first half was not. Had we kicked at the same % we probably would have won the game. The only time our foot came off the pedal was right at the end when the game was pretty much gone. We let them slam on about 3-4 quick goals that ultimately flatters the Bulldogs. It wasn't a 6 goal game.

But its alright, last year we won by 30something points and lost in the final...i saw bring on the doggies in September and we can even the score.

We squandered our opportunities in front of goal and they lifted in intensity and ran alot harder than us.

As far as our forwards go, Anthony Rocca will be 30 years old in August. I doubt he is going to improve any more as a player.
Like his brother Sav , he is serviceable but too inconsistent to be considered a champion player. Add to this the fact that he is probably our most important player and you have a team that is at the mercy of a guy that sometimes makes the difficult look easy but often makes the easy look difficult.

Personally , I look forward to the day when we are rid of him.
