I'm a little confused...
How exactly is Paris Hilton supposed to bring excitement or beauty to my life?
She's not particularly beautiful, and she doesn't even do anything. Before I read this article I wasn't even aware she had multiple CDs.
Actually, I couldn't care less about Paris. She's some dimwit who happened to inherit a lot of money. What I'm more concerned about are the people who pay to read about her in magazines etc. The fact that Paris is a 'celebrity' at all says a lot about celebrity culture, more than anything else. |
That makes sense to me. Paris is the capital of France. |

They've filmed her doing everything else, so I couldn't see this one being missed out on. I am a bit disappointed they could have turned this into a Reality TV show "Celebrities Behind Behind Bars"
Or maybe there can be a mini series "45 Days in Hell: The Paris Hilton Jail Story"

Seriously, I'm sick of hearing about her already. Why was Paris Hilton on the front cover of the Herald Sun this morning when 6 people lost their lives in NSW? Does anyone REALLY care that much about this chick?

Personally I don't I would rather the media worry about other things, as you said 6 people lose their lives and they are more worried about some airhead? It's pathetic that the media is giving this so much airplay, but why would it matter here?
I think it's time this media whore went away and had a good look at herself, to realise that she's an idiot and she needs to grow up.

Complete agreement here. We can go on all day about how much we hate Paris Hilton, and how she's a spoilt brat etc, but they wouldn't make such a big deal about her if it wasn't for the simple fact that people pay to read about her. Supply = demand.
Whenever I flip through the Sunday Herald Sun, I'm amazed that anyone could actually read all this crap. And then I realise that the reason I'm reading it is because my parents bought it. And, that by reading it, I'm as guilty as anybody.
