Great to hear a rational opinion on the matter from someone who actually knows what is going on. The clubs owe nothing to anyone when it comes to team selection and injury--and most definitely not to opposition teams and derivative industries such as the media and betting.

And more importantly, what better incentive could a young team team have than to give the Great One a farewell finals series?

I think that is what is going to drive and motivate us even more during the finals.Lets hope we can hold that beautiful cup aloft and give the great man the one thing he is missing.

i'm glad he's finally come out and said that he's not ready to retire and explained about his 'hammy' problem.

I'd almost select him on the team even if he had to hobble all game with the hammy to give him a chance to do that!
