WHATS UP EVERYONE?
The reason I am saying al this crap is because me and a few of the boys were at moomba last night and there is so many honeyZ there!

But here is the main point im trying to get this across is because all the nice Aussie chicks that should be rightfully ours are dating all different races in the world AND IT SUCKS!

I figured I change my natio I get all the honeyZ y'all know what in trying to say?

Aussie chicks aren't "rightfully ours", but it's probably this boorish attitude by some Aussie males that encourages them to date "other races".
I wonder why the moderators allow this sort of racist comment from Dan on this site.

Two reasons that the moderators haven't acted on this post Harry.

1. Moderators sleep and sometimes the board is unattended.

2. It may be racist. Dan does mention the word race in the topic, but I think he may be confused because he then goes on to talk of nationality. He says he wants to change his race, but think about, it's a bit hard to change your race. And if it is racist, we have no idea which race Dan belongs to, or is referring to. He seems to have made some sort of assumption that Australian is a race. Yeah? Which race is that?

If you're going to let a post upset you, don't waste your energy on one that is so contradictory that it moderates itself.

as a pie fan and australian of asian origin, I might well construe this thread as racist, but I don't. the intent isn't there, and has mike said, if one were racist, one wouldn't think about changing one's race...a racist is proud of his race and would seek to drive all others out. besides, I have met magpie dan and he is any but a racist.

IMHO the issue of people dating people of different origins to themselves all boils down to preferences. personally, I am blind to race when it comes down to relationships as I view each person on their own merits. however, I don't begrudge others who have preferences for a particular type of person to another -that's their preference, and their business. sure, a person who goes after a particular type of person to the exclusion of all others might be deemed to have a fetish, but as long as no exploitation is involved, I don't have a problem with it. I am thankful that we live in egalitarian Australia where we are free to make these choices. in a class system like England, this may not be possible.

I am hopeful that, with increasing multiculturalism, misconceptions about race will soon be nonexistent. I think that, as a club, we are among the frontrunners for promoting understanding and acceptance. for example, we have a gay supporters group who contribute 50% of their proceeds directly to the club. despite stereotypes to the contrary, I believe c'wood supporters as a whole are very intelligent, about football, their club and general issues. this board is one example of this.

Not only do moderators sleep, we have social lives. I was out all last night and only arrived home this morning.

This thread can be construed to be racist but from what I can tell the thread was no written to be racist. Dan, is saying he would like to be a different nationality so he can pickup chicks. I don't think that is racist.

A hard one this. I would've had urgent consultation with my fellow moderators (don't forget that you are a team and there's no "I" in team) and made a decision from there.
My personal, I STRESS PERSONAL, opinion would be to delete any topic that had "race" in the title.

We are lucky that Mike has set this up so that our personal reactions may not be the ultimate judgement.

Harry you seem to one of the many people in this country who do not know what racism is and are prepared to jump all over people when your definition of racism is breached. All Dan is guilty of is thinking with the wrong head and a confusing post. As a moderator this week I would not have removed this (or any other) post.
