If Rocca wasnt there, we would not have won. If Rocca had a poor 2nd half, Swan wouldve still got 36 touches, and we wouldve lost. It was Rocca's 2nd half which won us the game. Surely he should be featuring for atleast the 1 vote. This isnt a stats contest. |
agreed, im afraid people these days just look at the stats sheet and see a bloke with 26 touches therefore deserves a vote, without realising they didnt have any goal assists, 1%ers, goals and their disposal effeciency is about 60 65. As good as it is, lets not let dreamteam decide the Brownlow Medalist!
Rocca was sensational and inspired his troops. Fraser may have been captain but the leader out there was Big Pebbs, he was sensational with the debuants and the younger blokes like Pendles and Daisy. Like Dave said, win loose or draw, Swanny would have got 36 touches, we wouldnt have won without Rocca.
However it is very hard this week IMO to find three standouts this week, especially for second half efforts. |

Different perspectives on the game from all of us.
We all notice different things; the guy writing for theAge (Len Johnson?) must have been in the bar most of the night. His early submission didn't have Lockyer, Swan in the mix.
You know the story about statistics and lies.......well Swanny got huge touches but he also had 10 clangers. He got plenty of the ball but how influential was he?
Rocca turned the game.
Tarkyn did the hard stuff all night.....as did Forgotten Man (O'Bree)
Burns just had the most influence of anyone on the ground; 10 clearances people, how much more can one man do to turn a game?
I doubt if even SuperBucks ever had 10 clearances; well maybe once or twice.
HAL, that looks like one for your processors to work with.......by the way HAL......do your have dual core processors or are you more the Josh Fraser type? |

Quite honestly, I wouldn't worry myself about that. The ALICE chat robot can follow many things, like our discussion about story about statistics and lies. Try being more or less specific. What were we talking about again? |

3. Lockyer (delivery was great, laid tackles and played the full 4 qtrs)
2. Burns (centre square work was crucial)
1. Rocca (was a colossus in the 2nd half and led by example)
Our engine room worked their backsides off all night; including OB, Swan, Licca, Daisy. _________________ Hearing the 'Black & White Army' roar is the greatest sound in the world. |

3. Burns (Was the bloke I'd say turned the game in the middle and provided the leadership in there)
2. Rocca. (Did what burns did, but down forward)
1. Lockyer (4 quater performer, and probably leading the Copeland ATM) |

3. Daisy - kept us in it with his pace and heart - when we lookes so slow in the first half.
2. Tarqs - appreciated more time in the middle - and showed great courage and determination.
1. Burnsy - on fire this season - 3 superb games - in rare form - great leader - makes the midfield look good - toughness and polish _________________ NICKS BB 2007 PP Scott Pendlebury |
