I can't believe Burns isn't in the votes for so many!
I was in absolute awe last night. His efforts went almost unnoticed by the commentators. If it was a Channel 10 match (or Garry Lyon was commentating), and Judd or Kerr was doing some of the clearance Scotty was doing, they would be creaming their pants.

Everyone stepped up when it was needed. There is great heart in this side and the enthusiasm of some of the youngsters is just infectious - Dick and Dale Thomas will "will" themselves onto games for years to come.
Also very impressed with the H-bomb again, who I'm pleased to only shows fantastic endeavour, but can deliver the ball very well also. Maxwell's courage often goes unnoted by non-Collingwood people. In his 50th game, refused to allow himself off the ground despite being barely able to stand after that collision.
So many positives coming out of that win. _________________ Go Pies!!! |

Well what an effort and there was certainly no "I" in team last night. What a great all round effort in that second half. God help any team that we play four qtrs of football against this year!!!
This will be a tough round for casting votes...I had 5 stand out players but have managed to give 3, 2 , 1
3. T.Lockyer Was struggling to seperate Tarks and Swanny but Tarks was back to his vintage form 21 kicks 11 Handballs 7 Marks and 2 Tackles. Was probably the only person to play four solid qtrs. I would almost say his best game for Collingwood!!
2. - D. Swan You don't get 19 kicks 16 Handballs 11 Marks, 4 Tackles and 1 superb running goal from doing nothing. Great game Swanny!!!
1. R.Shaw Apart from that 1 shit house kick out Ryce was fantastic of half back did not stop running all game. 16 kicks 9 Handballs 11 Marks and 1 Tackle
Rough to miss out on VOTES: Burns, Licca, Rocca, Fraser, Thomas, Obree, Pendles, Heater, Toovey, Leon and Meders
Did there part: Dick, Obrien Presti, Richards, Cloke and Maxy
Didn't have much effect: Wakes and Cox _________________ YESTERDAY is history

3. Burns - When the hard footy needed to be won he was there - simply brilliant
2. Rocca - Played inspired footy
1. O' Bree - Like burnsy, the mature head was brilliant in the centre the whole game.
Could have been there:
Swan, Thomas |

A very even performance in the second half, but when the game was there to be won a few stood very tall.
3. Burns: ten centre clearances earns him BOG by a canter! Head always over the ball, courage personified. Memo to the 3 rookies; watch Burnsy and learn how to play.
2. Lockyer: four quarters of solid contribution; used the ball very well.
1. Rocca: turned the game on its head in the last quarter and worked very hard all night.
Apologies to Swan.
Luke, you gave Leon votes; what were you drinking last night? |

I agree with you HAL for the first time since you were created by Dr.XXXX
You are referring to the people giving Leon votes right?
Incomprehensible, bewildering and very bothering! |
