Dad on mission for son
Holly Lloyd-McDonald
March 22, 2007

ANDREW Macready-Bryan sits watching his once fit and active son lying silently in a darkened room.

Mr Macready-Bryan tells his son of events happening in the world.

Hospital rooms have become a daily part of Mr Macready-Bryan's life after James sustained a head injury in an assault last October.

The 20-year-old was caught up in an fight after he went to the city to celebrate his birthday.

He suffered extensive brain damage and is now in 24-hour care in the Royal Melbourne Hospital's Garden View House.

His alleged attackers will appear in court next month.

James was about to begin an arts/law degree at Monash University and was an accomplished left-hand batsman for Balwyn Cricket Club.

Now he cannot respond or recognise the visits by his dad and mum Robyn.

Mr Macready-Bryan has seen many young people in hospital and nursing home wards who have suffered strokes or fallen from balconies and live with acquired brain injury (ABI).

The story itself is quite sad, but by having what you have a sig, it makes it look as though you don't give a stuff about the kid or what his old man is trying to do.

Hey, it's not my sig that suggests we do as Reg Reagan says - Go And Get Stuffed..!!

Tack that on to every caring and sharing article you post (in full, mind you), then you should be able to see what I'm getting at!

For example, you might write something like

'Children suffering from poverty' and include the link.

Add your sig to the bottom and, well...

If, however, your headline read
'Brisbane Lions ask for more money.', then your sig would be appropriate.
