Williamstown reserves will have their first full hit-out this week when they travel down the freeway to play South Barwon at 10.20am.

The seniors will then play against Geelong at 1pm.

Hopefully, all the Geelong based supporters will be out in force, even if to just catch a glimpse of some of the new CFC-listed players.

In fact, seeing as though you would have to travel to see a game anyway, this could be a better option for those not able to get up to Narrandera.

Williamstown also play a home-and-away game at Skilled this year, with an AFL curtain raiser against Geelong on Saturday June 30. The AFL game that day is Geelong v Sydney.

What is the deal with that, you have to get a ticket to the AFL game to see your VFL side? Thus paying AFL prices instead of half-priced away team member VFL prices.

The way I've had it explained to me is when a VFL game is the curtain raiser to an AFL game at Skilled, those there for the VFL game are herded into a particular area designated for the VFL fans, then once the VFL game is over, you are then asked to leave and if you want to watch the AFL game, you then have to re-enter the arena and pay AFL prices for your ticket.

If you want to enter with your CFC pass, it will be seen that you are there for the VFL game (considering Collingwood aren't playing), and thus, allowed entry as per the away team supporter.

However, don't take it as gospel as it may have changed.

Thanks, Dale. Should anyone get down there to get a glimpse, any reports on the outcome/featured players would be appreciated by all.
