For regular imbibing, ice cold VB in the can. Thats my main fix.
For a treat every now and then, I like Boags strong arm which has a different flavour, tooheys old or carlton black are also nice in winter as is Kilkenny in the big cans with the widget thing that gives the nice creamy head. Red strip from Jamaica is also nice on a warm afternoon.
I can't drink Corona. I agree with Tess that sterling lite is very average but the 2 worst beers I've ever tasted (even worse than warm fosters) have to be Southwark (a friend from Adelaide told me he doesn't know how they get the cats to squat over the bottles) and some western australian lite beer I drank one in the '80's. It was in a black can, was less than 2% alcohol, I think it was emu something or other and tasted absolutley appalling. Honarary mention must go to West End lite. Try taking the train from Adelaide to Melbourne and the only thing remotely alcoholic available is west end lite. Very close to my definition of hell. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

For me it has to be half a glass of tooheys old mixed with a tooheys new in an icy cold schnooner!
A lovely mix any time. |

Ah, the good old "black and tan".
Saporo for mine though. For Aussie beers, half tooheys old and.....er....the other half tooheys old.... |

Ah, the good old "black and tan". | It is not known as a black and tan. That is a stout and beer.
The Tooheys mix is known as a fifty.
Atleast it was when I was living there. |
